I wonder if this will do well enough for a Sol and maybe God Gravion in the future. Granted Sol Gravion is the piece needed to make God Gravion. Though Gran Kaiser Sigma is a black Gran Kaiser who apparently turns into a backpack. That would be epic! First encounter of god gravion was super robot wars z..i was like..wow this mech looks cool.. I could imagine the price point for the complete package..ouch

Twitter: This looks amazing. However, their first "Bari"ation was not as great as anticipated. (I still like the Baikanfu and Rom though compared to Bandai's SOC) This has more die-cast though and looks promising! They just updated a bunch of images, and for the sake of convenience, here they are all in one go.

Nice looking piece. But damn! That price is kinda nuts. $410 USD at HLJ? That's getting into the price point for the Bandai DX Combatler V or Great Maz. And I am not seeing where this is offering that level of value. Especially not at the same size as the (admitedly excellent) Sentinel Dancouga. Call me picky but at $400 I expect something more in the 11-12" range, with enough metal to anchor a boat. But that's just me. Your tastes may vary.

Modernized Gravions that are gokin and can gattai don't grow on trees, I suppose. This is why I pulled the trigger. I own the trio of dino-themed Getters from Sentinel but passed up other stuff like the Mazinkaiser and so, this will be my return to the line.

Like I said, I understand the fan interest in a nice Gravion. And this one looks very very nice. It just looks and feels about 25% overpriced to me. Sen-Ti-Neal really seems to be pushing the price envelope lately. Without really doing so with the features offered. They are trying to position themselves as the upper tier exclusive luxury product. Which unquestionably much of their stuff can be considered. I just think this one is pushing the envelope a bit too far in pricing. $300-320 would have been reasonable. $350 if they really wanted to push the threshold a bit. $410+? That jumps 2 consumer price plateau’s. The one at $350 and the one at $399. It just feels like too much to me. Even for a rarity niche item.

When you stop think what else you can buy with this money for your home it Gets kind eye opening. Like I really don’t need this. Too bad more companies don’t offer payments plans like Sideshow Hot Toys. If this was couple inches taller I have no problem buying it for what the sales price.

I agree with faelon that Sentinel is pricing themselves higher than what I feel they're worth. Their RIOBOT and METAMOR FORCE lines had good bots, but not always consistent. Dancouga was excellent, but the Dino-Getters were meh. The recent issues with the candy red paint cracking are not good. The reviews on the Riobot Mospeada are not good. I've still got hope for Iron Giant because it's almost 1/2 the price of one Mospeada and not as steep an investment (Mospeada will have 4 bikes, 200x4=$800). Gravion is way more than what GX-71 Voltron was at preorder (about $270) and not nearly as big and probably not as much gokin. I understand Sentinel is not as large as Bandai, so their production costs are likely higher and their runs per unit are smaller, but they are very much like Arcadia where the toy is starting to feel not worth the price of entry. Getting more expensive very quickly.
That said, I still want one, but haven't ordered yet.

As nice as this looks, I can see it shelfwarming at that price point. Still POd, but depending on how my finances look closer to release I might have to cancel and hope for a sale later. :C

Sentinel is really pushing it. Like, a lot. I mean, this is almost the same price as that 3.5 kilograms mazinger zero (by almost I mean like a $10 difference). And I don't doubt that engineering and stuff like that will be good but it's really not worth it. They did this with their shin getter as well. Awesome figure and all but just compare it the SoC gipsy danger. Tons of engineering, light up gimmicks, etc etc and is a hundred bucks less. Honestly it is over 5 times the price of the SRC, while being hardly twice as good. I like this guy's figures but come on. This is just not worth it

This is just not worth it Very different toys you are making the comparison to, IMO, tetsuran1. The mega-heavy Mazinger Zero is just a hunk of metal that has some articulation but otherwise, does not feature any gattai-combinations. There are few features on the former and the true sell is the heaviness of the toy...otherwise, that's it. SoC Gipsy is not a terrible comparison but, it's also being sold by the biggest toy-maker out there in Bandai. Their cashcow is Gunpla and so, the margins on their Chogokin/gokin toys do not require to be as high. Sentinel is a pretty small outfit and the only they can survive is to have this sort of mark-up and hope a toy will sell. Still, I think it's a different type of toy. No combination feature again. Are they pushing it? Sure. But, when you are already talking about a segment where people have no issues hucking OVER $100 already for an action figure, does it matter where that line goes to? We are all nuts and Sentinel knows it.

I can tell that combination of God Sigma Gravion will be epic Almost 2"(4.5cm) size difference between them. I wish Gravion was bigger for the money.
