At least it looks like those are the two that won the poll Tamashii had? tamashii.jp/special/soc20th/That makes me very happy. I really want a Baikanfu. How is the Dancouga? I assume if we see these at all it will be late 2017? Oct/Nov. That seems to be when we see re-issues.

I also missed Baikanfu...
How is he? Any engineering or QC issue?

Oh how I wish Bandai not just reissuing Dancouga but also updating it with current engineering.

If Baikanfu has any issues, I haven't heard of them.
Kinda bummed that Combattler and God Sigma didn't win. Baikanfu was the only one besides two I actually wanted out of the five but he was pretty much the last choice for me. Ideon I already own and GX-13 is kind of outdated now, especially compared to the Sentinel one.

I also wanted combatteler too but with DX coming, Baikanfu will do nicely for me.

Im sure they will give dancouga some update. Will be picking him up! My history with him is way back playing super robot on the ps1. How I wish it was Dancouga and combattler Hopefully we get a reissue of daimos as well

I also missed Baikanfu... How is he? Any engineering or QC issue? Baikanfu is one of the best engineering wise. Its one of the few bigger SOCs that has diecast ratchet ankle (and toes) joints, so it is super stable in combined form. If you like the robot design, you'll love the piece. The only minor issues I can think of are follow: - The combined shoulders sit a little low, and because it has joints of 2 robots overlapped as a shoulder, its range of movement is slightly limited in a way. It can still do your normal rotations no problem though, but have to move some flaps out of the way. - Thigh doors on Baikanfu tends to flip open unintentionally sometimes, which you can just close it back. It doesn't click and lock very securely. - The many tiny swords the set gives you don't sit very well on the 'mountain' display stand holes, so they fall off very easy, and make sure you don't lose them. They are like chrome toothpicks If this is being reissue, make sure you get it. Its among my top 5 SOC of all time.

I thought he meant in the sense of glaring engineering issues that have plagued Ideon and Gunbuster, where tolerances just cause things to break over time and you wouldn't find about in reviews of fresh specimens.

None that I know of if that is the case. Nothing broke on mine. The design doesn't have much high tolerance points, just normal hinges and flaps. And the key parts that holds the Baikanfu together is the backbone/spine joints, which is all diecast.

alright i need feedback guys (kindly) i dont know the robots honestly are they worth getting ? also what about the others SOCs are they getting a reissue ? Baikanfu is definitely a YES. Its the main robot in Machine Robo in the 80s, the Japanese anime version of "Gobots" in the States. A badass kungfu fighting main character that combine in a Russian doll kind of way. So it is pretty unique if you don't have toys like that. One of the best SOCs made. Dancougar on the other hand is a fan favorite, but since its quite old, the proportion and engineering is a bit dated, with the combined robot don't even have a proper neck joint unless you swap in parts. I like it less than some other folks, but it is a quality set and I am glad I have it. But I don't count it as a must buy if you don't know show, especially when SOC combiners getting better than better. But go for it if you like the robot design. The good out weights the bad and its a good set.

I think it would be more prudent to just make a new mold of Dancouga altogether.
Other than dated engineering,Bandai Tamashii had plans for the OVA Jetpack and Black Wing being possible separate releases but it never went past prototypes.
Plus I would love to see Bandai pull of Final Dancouga.
Maybe have it done everything within the Super Robot Taisen games.

Has it been done on the history of SOC where they had version 2.0 like remolding the figure? I'm thinking the Mazingers? I hope they re do the Dancouga as well, the proportions are kinda off (maybe this is because sentinel had their own version) just my opinion. Lets just have faith with Bandai!

There are a few ways they have done things. A major rework such as GX-03 to GX-50 gets a new number. It's an entirely new set. Minor reworks will sometimes get things like R added to the release number. For recolors etc. On rare occasions they do make some minor engineering tweaks to a straight up re-issue. Such as Voltes V having slightly better or tighter hips in his later releases. Generally to quietly reinforce some jointing. But there is no real way of telling for some of those. Voltes V feels tighter. But Daltanius and GGG are exactly the same as their original releases.

I like both of them. Baikanfu is nice piece and that was last big GX I needed got him last week. Maybe I bidded against one of you guys on eBay recently! Personally I like CM Marusan Gordian/Garbin behind Baikanfu better since I grew up with Garbin as Godaikin. Just like Blue color. Only issue for me Baikanfu's hands. Don't really stay well or no articulated hands. Dancouga is good too, just his head doesn't really stay on well. Dancouga is just bad ass. I like both and recommend both of them for your collection. Which ever it will be it will be nice to see few improvements.

That Marusan Gordian looks really good next to Baikenfu. There was some prototype pictures of SoC Gordian in the last Chogokin book.
Maybe in 2018.....

Juat got information from Tamashii Nation Asia FB Page. It will be renewal for both Dancouga dan Baikanfu. Hopefully what they mean by renewal is not just recolor.
