I've seen the plamax ones but I'm not that much into models. Besides I want my cherno alpha to be hefty. That thing should be a beast full of diecast generating his own power to keep his own led lights shinning

I do not know how I missed this before. It seems you and I are the only 2 to mention that model I'm gonna wait for SOC though. If that doesn't happen in a few years, yeah, I'm building that PLAMAX. I am gonna build the PlaMax anyways. If we get an SOC in a couple years then awesome. But since Crimson Typhoon has not even hit PO yet I am not figuring it will be anytime soon. Supposed to be a fantastic model. Looks like it will be a fun one to paint up. Now to decide how weathered to make it

Now to decide how weathered to make it Making it weathered would make a nice companion piece to the SOC (when it happens). We know now, based on Gipsy, Bandai does not plan to give these jaegers the "weathered" treatment. Maaaaan, I'm hoping we get 1 jaeger per year. Bandai should be happy about the rave reviews for Gipsy Danger, because that's helping the sales, although because it's not a classic robo, it's not selling out everywhere like Voltron. To be fair though, all the Dynamic Classics are still easy to find as well.

Nice pics! Just opened mine. While haven't fiddle with it a lot, its impressive. Does feel a bit bare bone in terms of accessories compare to some other SOCs, but Gipsy doesn't use much other weapons so can't really complain. Wish the chest button is actually the on/off switch of the light gimmick. Kind of a hassle to remove the back plate to turn on/off. Mine is pretty tight once it snapped in, and not easy to remove.

Why not just leave it switched to on? Then you just press the chest when you want to light up that heart!

Does the chest LED has a timer after its on for a couple minutes and turn off on its own? That would be great if it works that way. I assumed it will stay on the whole time as long as I turn ON the switch on the back, so either its orange/changing colors if I press the chest, or off if I switch the back button OFF.

Yup it will turn itself off automatically if you leave it alone for I think 3 minutes or so. I currently just have the back switch on.

still not entirely sold. saw it in a store and it didnt that fantastic imo. puls it doesnt really scale well with anything, besides, maybe, some random kaiju figures. maybe the ultimate neca is more worth the money considering the gap between the two. i need a gipsy danger in my collection and im not really sure what i should get

The sculpt is good but qc suck and joints suck. I sold mine because it arm broke (beyond repair) just by bending it a bit... I'm very careful with my toys but it seems the plastic they use in the articulations can't be stressed not even a bit

And the NECA are HORRIBLE. The joints WILL break and arms and legs fall off. Even if just left standing on display. The sculpt is good and paint decent, but NECA's materials are pure garbage. I've long called what they use "recycled chewing gun" and I don't think I am far off the reality.

The painting, tampo printing, etc. It is one of my favorite SOC of all time

Eh. I've got a bunch of neca figures and they are very durable as long as they don't have QC issues. The plamax one is great but model kits are not my thing. I like my figures pre painted. There's a beautiful sideshow collectibles but statues don't really appeal to me either. Then there's this. Beautiful but it definitely needs some weathering, and 260 is kind of expensive, even if you make theme argument that it's worth it. I suppose I don't really need a gipsy danger after all

I had Gipsy in my online cart so many times and then took it out it wasn’t even funny. I rewatched first film then watched New movie then I decided to get it. I enjoy and don’t have regrets buying it but I did get mine $200 shipped on eBay so it wasn’t too bad for an on the fence purchase. Heck I put couple of small movie posters up because I like the movie.

I suppose I don't really need a gipsy danger after all I generally like them pre-painted. But I want a Chernobog Alpha that scales with Gipsy. Plus the Plamax lights up too! I figure I can paint it up. Done plenty of model and figure painting for Warhammer 40k.
