I believe that this figure is a landmark in the SOC line in that it may be the very first "American" designed robot in the line. Granted a lot of North America designed movie robots need a lot to be desired but this cold open up to other designs being considered.

I wouldn't rule out something like Exkaiser. That's a Brave non GGG bot, isn't it? And seems tailor made for SOC at some point. Well...Exkaiser kinda fits into the same category of "It's not GGG so no one really cares". And no, i'm not saying that literally no one cares about having modern representations of those Brave protagonists, but I would think that if Bandai had any inkling that people were interested in 300+ dollar SoCs of Brave protagonist mechs, we would have at least gotten the original nine by now in SRC form as a way to test interest. There's still no Fighbird, Da-Garn X, Goldran, Fire Dagwon, or Baan Gaan.

The original figures are getting much too hard to come by nowadays. Kinda wondered where I could have spent my money elsewhere back in the mid-00s and gotten these various Brave figures instead. Also,I hate to be that guy but I am afraid to admit we are getting way off topic. This topic of would-be Brave SoCs would fly more in the SoC Gaogaigar thread here.

It's something different and I've always liked the Gypsy Danger design. It's super interesting where this is going and I'm hoping everyone will eventually get their favorite robot in SOC form. It's clear to me that as collectors we might never stop collecting as long as companies like Bandai keep making cool stuff like this.

Interesting that this was revealed in Shanghai instead of maybe SDCC. The first movie did perform well in China so I see that as a good reason for it but I'm hoping it also means they're saving something for SDCC. I'm hoping that it's Dairugger as GX-76. GX-70D comes out in November and is the latest anounced SoC. GX-76 could fill the December spot, the same month GX-71 Voltron was released! GX-77 Gipsy can then come out in Jan/Feb just in time for the new movie in Feb. It pretty much mimics the consecutive western-centric releases of Voltron and Megazord. It all fits, guys! LOL

Yeah, he looks solid! Not a combiner so he should have a plenty of diecast.
Also he doesnt have too much accessories so if Bandai loves me like she should, then she should include damaged parts with this release. IF Bandai SOC team wants to TRUELY compete with Hot Toys like THEY said, Bandai should include the damaged parts. Or its all talk....
