Oh heck yes, man! My Ultimate would be a Great GaanBaan duo. OHHHHHHHHH MAN! And if it could come double-packed like the CMS? I'd lose my crap. that Bangaan release has become expensive and rare itself.. too bad that CMs was already closed. They could have followed thier God Raijin-oh with other Eldrans. Honestly, CMS stuff is before my time collecting mecha (not even four years) but some of their work like gbg is just beautiful. I may pick it up just for display sake. Didn't they already tease a DC Grendizer at some point? I think it was a tease for the DX. Correcr. It was... blatantly a DX tease.

What the hell Bandai... It was ALMOST SOC....he has the replaceable capes and everything!! all they had to do was make joints, legs and feet diecast and charged me $199.
so disappointed in you. $106 isn't toooo bad though....as i had it worse.
But What a name for the line hes in though...SHF "Zero???" Here come the jokes.
So now I'm going to guess, 76 is going tobe Jeeg or DC Grendy.
A sad day for EVERYONE like me.

Figuarts Zero is a fairly long-standing statue line. Honestly, they're very well done and popular, but Bandai has this warped sense of reality and believe that people who collect toylines simply want a character on their shelf and don't care if there's articulation or not. They did this with their D-Arts Megaman line. Took Sigma (highly anticipated big bad pf the x series,) threw him in as a Figuarts Zero statue, and killed the damned line. At least this one has swap parts where normally they're just straight up static pieces with maybe an effect or something.

No different than mine... was late getting CMs stuff.. years removed from product release.. time when prices already gone up. The last i was able to get was only this year.. God Raijin-oh.

I might order this even though it's not a actual action figure, it's only $90 plus it states it comes with "MAZINGER Z Thermal Conductive Sheet Parts (vs. ANKOKU DAISHOGUN ver.)" which I have no idea what that means plus a stand so it will fit in with the other DC SOC's.

LOL, it be funny if i wasnt so sad..... Bandai makes me so sad sometimes,
I want the name of the guy at the boardmeeting to have Daishogun into SHF Zero. He has tobe a marketing guy (or accountant), he cant be the sculptor.
Imagine the sculptor of this piece listening his work is going to SHF Zero instead of SOC... Id be hopping mad.

The best way to understand Figuarts Zero is to look at the X-Plus figures and the high prices they command. Figuarts Zero is similarly a high margin, low cost to manufacture line. A SOC or even a traditional S H Figuarts typically requires tooling and assembly for over 100 parts or more. The most complex fixed statues require maybe 10 pieces. And they aren't made from ABS, so they can use tooling designed for lower pressure, lower temperature plastics, such as resins. Which costs about 10-20% of what the ABS tooling costs. X-Plus has this down to an art form. It's so elegant that it is almost a scam, except they are delivering product their customers adore. They are making Vinyl figures. Vinyl is extremely inexpensive to work with. It doesn't require overly expensive tooling. but the tooling wears out quickly. X-Plus gets around this by making every piece a limited run. So they only run each toolset a few thousand times then destroy it before it starts to warp. Even with their incredible sculpts and painting they have to be pulling in 120 point margin on each statue. Contrast that with a complex articulated figure where the factory is likely pulling in 10-20 points margin, with a longer production cycle. And that's where the whole villain thing kicks in. They know we want the character, and the statue approach, in scale with the articulated robot, is a lower cost, higher margin, lower risk way to fill that niche desire without committing to the expensive and complex tooling of a real articulated one. Yeah it pisses a lot of the collectors off. But the increased margins make it such that even if you piss off 60-70% of them your're still making more profit off the niche subject with a statue than by just making the articulated robot. One of the better examples of this approach was Max Factory's Vinyl Big O companion pieces, Big Duo and Big Fah. I'm in no way saying this is a good thing. Personally I hate when they do it. But that's the way the bloody accounting works sometimes. This is also why there were rumors of Bandai converting S H Monsterarts to a Monsterarts Zero line last year. It's probably also worth noting that in Japan the statues often sell better than the articulated action figures. Same in North America when it is a more female oriented subject like Sailor Moon. (I think the Great General will look just smashing in everyone's Sailor Moon collection!)

ofcourse this is just my opinion.. Gordian Jeeg Baldios i was a hair away from ordering Baldios but at the last second i was like no thanks for the info The Origami style transformation is what makes it unique... and CMs manages to pull it off. plus this one-shot OVA mech is so obscure i doubt Bandai would even touch it. Im thankful CMs released it.
