It displays extremely well and has good presence. But it's not going to win any awards for agility and articulation. I mean the joints are there as seen in the show. But even in the show the robot barely has anything that could be considered elbows and knees. That was intentional to in some ways contrast the Big O with R Dorothy Wainright. You can get the arms up over his head. The legs will do walking and an A stance. His best poses are standing solidly and punching things. But he looks gorgeous doing it. From the pictures the new "Kurogane" Iron finish looks even better. If you've ever held the SRC Dai Guard, the Big O reminds me a lot of that robot. That same sort of massive lower legs and arms.

You can find things to dislike in Big O if you want, or have unreasonable high expectations. But it is still the best single non transforming/combining SOC in my collection. If you guys can praise how nice all the D.C. stuff, I don't see how you can not like the much better GX-48, honestly.

Big-O SOC truly is a masterpiece.
Once you hear the metal dedented joints, you'll fall in love. It has the best metal clicky i ever heard in a toy.
For me, Bandai omitting Griffin the car is the biggest con. That def was a super greedy move on Bandai. Shame on you. At least theyre Releasing combo pack....But if it was more around$160, that would have bought lots of forgiveness.just saying.

Love those pics faleon! It's tempting me to open mine up! Can't wait for the full package. Where can one buy those effect parts now? Those are just the Bandai Tamashii Effects parts. The Red Explosions and the Red Flames sets. They are pretty easy to find. I just got another damaged box red explosion set off Amazon for around $12 just last week. The Red Flames are starting to disappear and get pricier. But there is a Yellow recolor of them packaged with the SHFA Dr. Strange. (And a pink explosion set with Star Lord.) the Explosions are also available in gray, which look really great with buildings. The Flame pieces are also commonly found in Blue. There is also a rare purple/black set that was a Tamashii Web exclusive and is obscenely priced for what it is.

Watched the Giant robo OVA about a year ago and that was amazing. Wish they had a better representation than the SRC though The Medicom VCD Giant robo and Getter robos look quite cool but I'm not a big fan of statues though (might change if I had them infront of me as those things are huge). The Yamato Giant robo looks interesting but probably abit expensive for what it is (heard that its a hefty gokin though). May consider the Big O if I can squeeze it into my robot budget somehow now that Mazinkaiser is kinda up in the waters at the moment. May look into the Max factory version which then reminds me that I really want their Godannar!!!!!

For OVA Giant Robo Yamato made a Cannon version and a missile version a few years ago. They aren't too hard to find or unreasonably priced still. It's about 8" tall. Lots of metal, and a nice glossy navy battleship blue grey paint scheme. It displays real well with the SIC Big O.

Can people give me a quick rundown on what changes have been made for this reissue of Big O?
I am curious as this is the 3rd one in a row Bandai has done now.
