It appears Anime-Island has shut down.
If you have pre-orders with them it's very possible you will lose your order (along with any payment you might have made).
Sucks for me as I had fully pre-paid for 6-7 items with them and am probably out over $1k.

It went up and down a few times recently, but now it's apparently down for real. Their Facebook page has disappeared as well and many people complained that they don't answer their e-mail.
Captain Obvious says : open a dispute on Paypal or, if you didn't use Paypal, file for a chargeback with your credit card. Ever if you think it's been to long, it's worth trying. They actually sent Paypal refunds to some members over at Myfigurecollection.net. Some had requested a refund, but some had not.
So it looks like they are trying to refund their customers, as much as they can. Their lack of communication is really bad, but at least they're not total scum. It sucks to lose a few preorders, but it must really suck to see your dream crumble and being forced to shut down your business.
I had no preorders at Anime Island, but I'm a survivor of the legendary Vehicle Votron fiasco. Got my money back in the end, but it wasn't a fun ride.

Their Amazon store site has been removed as well.
That being said, I agree with requesting a charge dispute immediately.
One of the credit card companies told me that since the item I pre-ordered (Dancouga) wasn't due to be sent out yet it's technically not disputable. I told them that's fine, I'll wait till December, but it will just make it that much harder to potentially recover the money. They eventually filed the dispute for me.

myfigurecollection.net/club/72/discussions/&did=3762&p=18A link to the Myfigurecollection.net forum thread about Anime Island. They used to post there and are (were) partners of the site. It's somewhat of a mess now, but if you had pending preorders at Anime Island you might like to know how things are going for other people in your situation.

Slightly off-topic :
I thought Paypal had changed their policies regarding refunds on preorders, but I can't find anything on that. Anyone heard something about that, or have I hallucinated the whole thing? (Eh! It's possible...)

I've been following that myfigurecollection thread for a few days and it seems the Paypal disputes are running into some trouble as AI has run out of money in their PP account?
Seems like a credit card is the best way to go if that's the case.
Not sure about their preorder policy krimpov but will keep on searching.

With them I saved a lot. They used an FedEx Economy to Canada, brokerage fee was included and they lowered the value so I never paid customs.
