Machine Robo line : you opinion count !

Hello and happy New year to all of you.

This thread purpose is to collect some opinions an thoughts about some possible release on the new Machine Robo line.
I am in touch with Action Toys and I want to propose them what us, Robot-Japan members, we can bring to this new toy line reboot.
(I will get NO money or toy with this, it's just to improve the toy line).

The idea came when Action Toys anounced the Machine Robo DX Line, introducing Bike Robo

What DX they could bring us ? Will they follow the DX line up from the vintage line ?

Some interest from collectors also came recently with the reissue of the Soul of Chogokin GX-39R Baikanfu.

People started to buy MR-02 Driller to display with the SOC piece, waiting Blue Jet to come on shelves

I had the chance to handle a lot of prototypes during Chicago TFCON last year : yes Blue Jet will be awesome.
The Painted prototype I saw is amazing (imo, Driller shoulded be taller than it's release...).




Few years ago, under Artstorm EM Gokin line, Action Toys brought us a partforming Blue Jet (see image above, on dispaly with SOC Baikanfu).
The toy was a bit desapointing, frustrating due to a non "masterpiece" treatment.
Overal the sculpt is great and poseability very good, but kept it as an action figure...

Machine Robo DX line is about 18 cm high (Bike Robo), enough to put engineering AND incredible articulations.
Do you think this character need a DX version, fully transformable ?
Same question about Driller ?

I really like the new Machine Robo line. I have been thinking about collecting them. How is the quality?

Blue Jet definitely needs a fully transformable DX release. The design is just too cool not to have it.

I would also buy one for Driller, as the smaller-scaled line left me a little cold with the loose tolerances (diecast and ball joints don't mix imo).

Personally, I'd like to see them do the whole line in the DX style, as I'd much rather collect that. The aesthetic is much more pure Machine Robo than machine robo + fansproject/early maketoys styling. Either way, thanks for taking input!

I bought bike and driller to display with Sentinel Baikanfu. Hope to see blue jet soon!

I think the products they have already previewed are some of the best we might want currently. Train robo is my most desired. I think them doing the cranebrain might be something to consider as well as it was in both series and a popular meme.

The DX bike robo is nice looking but I really enjoy their smaller figures as is. I would love to see them attempt puzzler at some point.
I don't mind their spacing too much on their releases, but I think they should do at least 6 figures a year rather than 2 or 4 to avoid being forgotten and the line left for dead.

I just saw this thread. I actually think Blue Jet deserves to be released in BOTH the regular AND DX lines. He's arguably one of the most popular characters and hasn't had any very good toys. If they can only do one I would happily wait for a DX version.

I'd also like to see a DX Shuttle Robo in the style of the original. I always liked the design of that version better than the smaller one.

i bought the tank and fighter jet when they release the new line mainly because i like how they look but have since stop buying them because i prefer robots with diecast and more weight in them eg SOCs, exception being GFFMC, Metal Build and the likes due to their superior build quality. The 2 figures which i bought reminds me of those heavy plastic, carded transformers figures i use to buy long ago but have since stop collecting and their paint job if any at all)/colouring is not fantastic either, same reason i have been avoiding the new diaclone line (unsure of the correct name) either. So, if the new blue jet continue to follow the current build philosophy of the manufacturer, then most probably will be an easy pass for me, even though this fella holds a place in my heart as i actually owned one, the vintage one to be exact, when i was a kid.

I only have Missile Tank Robo and Blackbird Robo thus far, and both of them are spectacular. I'm really looking forward to Tough Trailer and I'm hoping to get DX Bike Robo in the future. That said, I'm echoing the sentiments for a DX Eagle Robo and some form of Blue Jet. Also, please, please, PLEASE tell them to do Limousine/Hearse Robo. He must happen. HE MUST.
