This will probably end up replacing my Mondo Iron Giant. Hope there a bit of metal in it!

7.5 inches? That's the sweet spot, right there. If it's got zinc, it's bought. When and how much? My need for this feels so... urgent.

This will probably end up replacing my Mondo Iron Giant. Hope there a bit of metal in it! I'm actually hoping not to much. Lower legs and feet only. It's a very top heavy design by nature. Sentinel's approach of minimal metal would be a boon for this one.

Riobot? Is 1000Toys affiliated with Sentinel?

Yeah, thats interesting...
maybe 1000Toys the distributer outside Japan? And Considering its the top quality Riobot, $120 USD for 16 cm diecast Iron Giant seems pretty fair to me.
Very happy for the fans.

I believe 1000Toys is a sub-company of Sentinel, or they're very closely affiliated. 1000Toys started out making 1/6-scale android figures, which were produced by Sentinel. I collected them for a while and those toys had unrivaled poseability and quality control in the scale, so I'm very hopeful for this. It helps the The Iron Giant was my favourite movie for years as a kid! Also, just look at it. Right off the bat we have collapsing panels in the knees for that deep crouch pose, a >90-degree bend at the elbow without compromising the look at all, enough head mobility for him to lie down and look up, and a combination of sturdy ankles and weight distribution that allows for that one-legged pose. Just perfect. Of course I wish it were bigger, but I'd rather have perfect engineering than pure scale. This will put Mondo's effort to shame.
The connection to Sentinel is in the name--1000Toys, Sentoys in Japanese. Sentinel officially writes their name as Sen-ti-nel.

Looks great but only about 6 inches. Not much of a Giant.

Dang, that’s a hefty price for something the size and complexity of a Marvel Legends figure. He’s one of my favorite robots but I don’t know if I can justify it. I was expecting something around $80. Hmm. What happened to the previously reported 7.5 inches?

・SRP: USD120(Outside of Japan)
What does that mean? It's being produced for the US market? Japan will have a higher MSRP?

This looks good.
On the Japan sites the manufacturer is listed as Sentinel, and sculpting by T-Rex (that's real good, they were responsible for their Getter-1). No mention of 1000Toys at all. Maybe they are selling this under 1000Toys outside of Japan or outside of Asia due to the popularity of Synthetic Humans.

I don't get it. Is it going to be under the Riobot line or marketed as a 1000toys product? I'm only buying if it's Riobot.
