Nope. It's NOT a statue. Clearly this is a diecast action figure, 30 cm in height, fully articulated, and has a LED for each eye of the LionBots. LOL...Yes, U read me right, it has LED in the eyes.
If everything goes smooth, Titan Power will release these product at second quarter in 2019. Estimated retail price : 135 dollars. These Voltron does not transform into separate lions, similar like SOC GX-79 Voltes FA.

Ah, I did some research and looks like this Chinese company stole the design from the original creator, a Korean guy who goes by "Juny". Juny has designed and 3D printed this Voltron and spent hours of labor painting and creating his own proud masterpiece. He seems pretty pissed about it on his facebook page. His amazing Voltron design drew a lot of attention after it was featured on Kotaku. Knowing this, I hope Juny finds a way to get his version manufactured and I can buy from him instead of the KO. So conflicted. One the one hand, would love to own a 30cm stylized diecast Voltron. On the other, this designer just got his hard work stolen and KO'd. KOTAKU article on Juny's Voltron: kotaku.com/this-diy-voltron-model-is-some-next-level-stuff-1795536741?fbclid=IwAR3jcxvf2O8YI-cdiQzaeawf2CEAfcRRQYGfXKJHHXVKbdS_RQeiz4nMlZcJuny's FB page: www.facebook.com/lessonart80

For those who don't have FB, this was Juny's reaction-

That's beyond sh*tty. I don't think he was planning on releasing this as a product. It was simply an advanced hobby project for him. It's sad that the Chinese Bootleg Thieves just steal wantonly like this. This has become a huge problem in the Lego Community. You create a nice design and share it via Social Media, next thing you know Lepin or some similar sh*tty shady outfit is selling your design. It's making people stop sharing. Stop showing pictures.

Damn...that is so f**ked up. We as collector community should stand up and boycott this damn thing.
We should let Gokin.it know too if they dont already.
Lets email the vendors and let least let them know.

I'm of two mindsets... the guy did a tremendous job with the sculpt however an action figure variant appeals to a completely different market that I'm actually a part of.
In a dream world it'd be great to see this get produced with the paid blessing of the originator.

Dealing with third party is difficult, even for customers. ridiculous is it? Yes, but is true. From my experience, when I placed pre-order for third party Gundam, there's always a miss. sometimes, they just cancel the release, or even worse, my pre-order just gone! They never made it. Of course I got my refund, but that's really dissapointing.

yeah I really dont care, the original wouldve never released such a GG design as a mass product, atleast this way we can get it in our hands, way I see it the crying wouldve made more sense if he planned to produce it, since he isnt then I really dont care, they could have approached him first yes or given nods to him or some royalty fee or something I dunno but I am not at all in favor of boycotting such a piece

Gentlemen, the reality is we now live in a world where anyone can copy anything. If these 3rd party companies have the guts to infringe on mayor IP like Transformers or Gundam, what makes you think you are safe? Going forward everyone should design with the mindset that such property will be K.O. down the line and you should take the step to release your product before anyone else can beat you to the punch. Is it OK? No, but that's how things work now. This guy was approached and begged to mass release his product but he refused to do so, therefore at some level I don't feel sorry for him, it's not like he lost money from it. On the other hand, it's his creation and I can see how upsetting that can be. Finally, he didn't own the Voltron license or had rights to produce the figure in the first place sooo… there's also that. Bottom line you can support the guy by not buying this AWESOME figure, which is what I plan to do after I buy the regular and metallic version, or you can send some money to the designer for his work. A lot of people complaint the company is not paying him royalties, but those who think he should be paid can always send money and show that they stand behind their moral values and principles. I for one will send him some money after I get the figures. I can't got to china and stand in front of the company with a sign that says no to IP infringement, but I can make sure this guy get's some cash.
As for those who want to write letters and boycott stores, I think you are not going to get great results. Consider the royalties via paypal option instead
