My first impression seeing this in person it seem little smaller and slimmer than I expected. Definitely photos in earlier post in this thread made it look stout. The Miracle Metal Works VV seems taller to me. The pin attachments for ankles appear to be diecast from what I can tell but hard to confirm. Thanks Kabayan for the info!! Are the window cockpits translucent? Dont seem so to be on the pics but I might be wrong.

That looks amazing. I got the original Matchbox Vehicle Voltron when I was a kid in 1985 and the feeling I got when opening that was one of my fondest memories. Such nostalgia.

its amazing how much more polished bandai's dairugger offering is when you place it side by side to MP's VV. Yup, I'm excited now to see it in hand...

The Miracle was all right at the time and will certainly be larger then the SOC version. I'm personally going to keep the Miracle one in the combined air/see/land modes along with the Toynami Masterpiece Voltron in it's lion modes to display alongside the SOC's.

There's one test I have to try with Bandai's once I get it in hand that the MM VV did that I hope the GX-88 can pull off, and its that pose with the inverted side kick up in the air and the entire bot is balanced and holding itself up on the other leg. (I hope they have clicky hip joints in short, though I'm not sure seeing the photo connections in the latest pic thus far... or am I over thinking this... )

I didn't realize until just now how much different they are. I am actually glad that Bandai's solid engineering pulled through. The Miracle Toys one looks flimsy as all hell and the various reviews back that up.

I didn't realize until just now how much different they are. I am actually glad that Bandai's solid engineering pulled through. The Miracle Toys one looks flimsy as all hell and the various reviews back that up. Flimsy yes, but it still held that high side kick pose because of the hardware in it's hip joints. Here's hoping Bandai one ups it with their rich history of ever improving toy engineering... at the very least I'm hoping it can do a similar pose, something we can't pull off with the GX-71. While I'm not complaining as I love the weight with the figure in hand, there's always a part in most collectors I like to believe would love to have awesome hardware in our gokin toys that would enable us to put the toys through its paces of various dynamic postures ...

that mp version next to the soc looks like a drunken master as if each part is balanced on top of the next like a ball rolling and wobbling in place to keep from falling apart. i think ive seen that in a cartoon somewhere. anyway just a funny observation I made that mad me laugh

Is there an official release date for this? Or just speculation about October/November?
