Did Wotafa assemble GX-88 in retro mode - No movement from the waist to the legs? Wotafa looks to be wearing a sweater with interesting prints - judging from the sleeves. That's not GX-88 but the old Matchbox/Godaikin one from 35+ years ago. But goes to show what a solid design it was even back then along with the original Golion.

That’s the old Matchbox/Popy Voltron/Dairugger from the 80’s in Wotafa’s video. I’m assuming he’s reviewing for comparison in anticipation of the GX-88.

I wish they would have included covers for the tank treads on the back upper torso to be anime accurate.

The one he was reviewing is actually the original old school Popy one. I’m pretty sure the matchbox had the firing fists removed, including the firing buttons.

The Matchbox version also has firing fists.

Sounds like the metal is mostly in the legs with scattered pieces here and there, not as much as Golion but Dairugger is easier to pose, I can't wait to get this! Considering that the original was the one robot that had so little metal they didn't actually call it a Chogokin I think we are doing pretty well with this. The MMC has a bit too much to be brutally honest. It's a little too top heavy. I like a lot of metal, but I like it well placed to create a nice stable robot.

So when is it supposed to start shipping and/or when will BBTS get it? American distributors are supposed to have it a month after Japanese release. Though I wouldn't be surprised if BBTS gets it sooner. It received the SOC Go-Lion reissue not long after Japanese release (1-2 weeks?) and also received the Takaratomy Omega Supreme a few weeks before any other American retailer. A store owner told me BBTS had a special distribution deal, at least when I asked about Omega. We'll see if this trend holds up with GX-88, but BBTS has been surprisingly quick lately. Glad to see.

Guys, if anyone wants a dairugger preorder at bbts , let me know.
I manage to get 2 preorders on 2 different accounts (one for me and another for my friend) but he get another preorder at another web page so is not needed anymore (i was thinking on getting both, but living in a 3rd world country with a sh*tty economy is a issue)
So if anyone pm me, i can pass the whole account, so you can edit the details and make it yours.
Cheers
(I wont charge for it, but if you wants to give me any gift, i will accept it 😉)

so you all got hyped (as usual) and forgot something important
what kind of knees joints we will get ? the ones in promo photos or the ones in the prototype ?
alot people told me the lion Voltron is the most popular but what we saw on the preorder and at the moment tell a different story
for me the lion voltron is best, im not a huge fan of Dairugger, but its a nice figure to have, maybe i will like it after handling the figure in person

l what kind of knees joints we will get ? the ones in promo photos or the ones in the prototype ? Knees look to be same on both but covers on prototype weren't slid all the way down. Regarding popularity; I think Golion is by far the most popular and I don't really know what about the preorder points to the opposite but if it's sellout time with the original preorder for Golion vs. this I don't think it's a fair comparison because Golion came at a low point for the line after stuff like GGG and GM all but bombed and once GX-71 came it revitalized the line and interest for it. Golion created a wave that I'd argue this one is riding on.
