According to the previous owner , the other roboboy is supposed to be in the center section of tetsujin - but he was having to put more force to get the component to open than he'd liked. I negotiated the price based on the kit not being complete, since I couldn't verify that the part isn't missing. I decided to try to see if I could get that compartment open, and I now understand the hesitation - it feels like I'll break something if I attempt to open it! I'm not willing to break anything; so I'm just going to leave it alone. If anyone has a secret way to get this open; let me know. It's possible that the roboboy *is* in there; and positioned in a way that prohibits its removal; but I'm not going to force anything... and right now, it seems like I'd have to literally pry it open. On a side note, no one should question this toy's playability. It's tough not playing with this masterpiece! When I was purchasing this, I was planning on putting the robot on display only. But honestly, it's been hard not to play with it; it's just has so many cool gimmicks. With my luck I'm going to break something

I checked mine last night, and there doesn't seem to be any 'secret' way to open it... Mine works perfectly, yet it's still quite a pull to get it open. The resistance points are not visible - ie there are no obvious 'locks' or tabs on the face of the seat/door thing. Rather, it seems to have a catch behind or underneath - somewhere that you can't see it. The hinge part is simple, but is just two plastic pins that fit into two holes. While it does take some force to open it - and it almost appears to be stuck even when it's not, the mechanism is all plastic (albeit pretty tough plastic), so it's not bulletproof. Really, if you can't open it with a fingernail, it's probably jammed. Of course, if it's jammed, then quite probably it's jammed by/with the Roboboy - the mechanism is simple enough that it wouldn't jam by itself. In your position, I'd try gently prying it, maybe with a thin plastic tool. Like I say, it doesn't open easily at the best of times, so don't be too afraid. hH - and not to state the obvious, but the hinge is on the bottom, so apply whatever force at the top! I know that sounds dumb, but if you are trying to lever it upwards it'll never work!
Sorry if that's not of much help!

This is definitely helpful!
In all likely hood a poor roboboy is stranded in there. He's going to have to enjoy his home for the foreseeable future; since I'm not going to mess with it - the last thing I need to to accidentally break it!
Thanks for taking the time to check! It's appreciated!
