I don't think so. The display only sign is pretty clear about it... Now I'd really love a grendizer base...

The card also said if it is going to be 1/1 scale, it will cost around 7.2 Billion yen. Wonder if that means it'll happen...maybe not.

alot of Bandai products have the "display only" sign but that's not a clue that we will never get it
this Base got displayed multiple times so there is a chance for it
im optimistic i think we will get this base

im optimistic i think we will get this base If they've shown it multiple times it is more likely that it is a Marketing booth display unit, not a production or pre production sample. I don't see it as being a particularly viable product. Maybe an insanely priced specialty piece that they make maybe 500 of?

maybe
i remember they were working on a base for the SRC way back, so maybe that project didn't die and here we see it again ?
im sure people are talking about the base, if the demand is high they might do one
$500 is over price the GX50 Base was way cheaper than this but with Bandai you never know

I’m just looking at the shear size and complexity of that. It’s rather large. Like the size of a bookcase. If they were to produce more than one they would more than likely be store display pieces, not retail product. I could be wrong, they may one day offer it as some sort of flat packed build it yourself ultimate collector thing. I just don’t see it as a retail release. If they ever were to offer it it would probably be something like Hasbro’s crowdfunded Jaba Saul Barge. Something where they knew they had orders locked in before production.

no you made a great point, looking at the photos i think its about 4 DX Mazinger Hangers attached together with the doors open ? (this is me and my eyes im sure i could be wrong)
they did release alot of huge ships and other stuff so i dont see why not, everything related to Mazinger z have awesome sales numbers, i also think it will be a build it yourself thing, shipping it as its is dangerous,
it will be a TWE item for sure to keep the price high and to limit production

I'm hopeful it "might get produced as the Chogokin moniker is now there with the" name" of this piece
If not, Bandai really should consider producing it. Have the collector build most of it. and Package it flat for a easy shipping.
If Priced "fairly," Sort of like plamodel of IKEA furniture..It should sell pretty well especially amongst collectors with room to spare teehee.
But just Dont forget to test it for stability ( very very important Bandai)... and dont forget to add few metal pieces to justify it as Chogokin.

at SRC size it will be perfect, even a Grendizer base with the 3 hangars for the 3 spazers....

Its out! Soundtrack, sound effects, and imagination (lots of it) not included. Can't remember if mine still works, but pretty sure I lost the battery cover plate. That motor is hell of slow and noisey.

But that was the extreme end of such things. And selling into a very different market niche. That Mazinger base would be a major piece of furniture in most Japanese homes. They might release it? Bandai can be strange. I still think if they do it will be a special “order before production” thing, like Hasbro just did with the sail barge.
