That's a surprise. I love DaikuMaryu but I don't know if I am getting it. I definitely don't have the space to display it.

Oh and there better be Bazoler, Skylar and Nessar!!! THIS!!!! Though seeing as how Bandai is conducting non-stop R versions, we'll probably get these guys with the R version of the DX Daikyu coming 2030! Gold

Gold Bandai sell re-release products the same price as the original release. Old '80 Gun-pla still 300 or 500 yen Today. For SOC they can not get profit selling them original price. They need to change something and sell them in new price.

I thought that Gaiking was new mold but already have GX-27. I didn’t have room for Titanus but would make room for this one more I see photos of it. Need to see more features of it if it’s worth getting.

GX-27 was a huge disappointment for me. It has joint stability issues in its ankles and knees. Maybe they will put an R out that fixes

In my opinion, this Daiku looks awesome, but not anime accurate. It looks more modern. The dragon's head doesn't match GX-27's torso. So the final product might look more anime accurate or they might release a new version of GX-27 that matches this new Daiku. Either way, shut up and take my money.

The GX-27 Gaiking is actually one of the better older SOC releases. A lot of SOC figures from back then had loose joint issues (Voltes V, Taiyo No Shisha Tetsujin-28). It's very interesting to see a DX release that fits well with a standard SOC release. I think that's very interesting even if I might not end up getting DaikuMaryu. The concept alone is very interesting to me as a collector.

I haven't handled my GX-27 in ages, but I don't remember any loose joints. At least not worst than the average "Mazinger-class" SOC.

I haven't handled my GX-27 in ages, but I don't remember any loose joints. At least not worst than the average "Mazinger-class" SOC. It's been many years since I sold mine, but I remember that the ankles and hips had a lot of play and weren't ratcheted. They weren't exactly loose, but they were super tight either. That combined with the heavy upper body made me constantly worried that it would topple over. It never did, but I only had it on display for a short time.

The issue I had with GX-27 Gaiking is that some of the collapsing parts (torso and legs) collapse way too easy without a beefy stopper on the rails. Which I took apart and 'fixed' by adding a drop of super glue to make that stopper on the rail where its suppose click in place to stop. That fixed my issues. Mine doesn't have loose hip or ankles. But since it is an older release, the ankles are not super tight or sturdy, just the norm of similar release at the time.
I am very curious if DX Daikumaryu will come with a new Gaiking, since it IS part of the dragon (head, and the body parts house inside the belly). Doesn't seem complete as a DX without a Gaiking, even though most of us already have GX-27. At the very least, I hope they design to work with GX-27 so the dragon head is compatible in some way.

That's a surprise. I love DaikuMaryu but I don't know if I am getting it. I definitely don't have the space to display it. Who does? It's gotta be bigger than the bloody GX-85 Titanus! I've still got that one sitting on my desk as I can't fit it in my shelves. This looks gorgeous, but it also looks bigger than my dog.
