GX-105 has some strange proportions compared to GX-70. It looks to me like it has a bigger head, maybe to accommodate a bigger more detailed hover pilder while keeping the same height as other SOC Mazinger Z figures? Breast plates look smaller, torso looks shorter, chest looks higher, low rise undies, and upper arms look thicker too. View AttachmentThen again GX-105 looks similar to the Mazinger Z in the series intro: View AttachmentView AttachmentTo be honest, I'm kinda confused with this move by Bandai. I thought the whole point of D.C. series is "show accuracy". So where does this new iteration fit in... "animation magic accuracy"?

allow me to explain
the DC stand for Dynamic classic meaning its accurate to dynamic movies and as you know in those movies the robots looked a bit different than what they looked like in their anime shows
the Kakumei Shinka is accurate to the anime
another point Bandai is not Bandai if they are not going milking Mazinger z lol, this might open the door for other super robots to get this treatment but it will take the uniqueness that this figure have

ooo cool, now I get it... It never occurred to me that D.C. line was specifically for Dynamic "movies", not the series. Thanks S_Gokin, RoboFestivus Kinda glad Bandai released Dynamic Classics first though, not really a fan of the series accurate version

I'll be darned. GX-105 has a nut sack. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I have one too, and Mazinger Z is a very brave warrior.

Imagine if “ear horns” were little shorter and the head “crest” was little lower…oh man.
Talk about screen accuracy…brrrrr

Hmmm, the forearms being plastic I can understand because of the rocket punch gimmick, what I'm worried about are the thighs... I think the reason why Bandai made the thighs diecast in latter iterations of Mazinger is because of GX-01's thigh cracking problem right But yeah, Bandai will probably say they are using better plastic materials now... (fingers crossed)

I wouldn't call that diecast content low. It's just... typical and expected. Usually the inner joints like ankles, hip and waist are diecast but we cannot see it in this pic. As for diecast thighs, too many companies avoid that painted metal on metal contact areas now because of chipping paint, so thigh hitting crotch, they're not going to diecast both, I get it.
