If the Maxfactory Mazinkaiser is anything like Genesis Gaogaigar, then there may be a new King of the Mazinkaiser figures.

Excellent news Chen, looks like a true competition to Bandai & Aoshima alright. I wonder how much diecast it has and I wonder how much it is?
Thanks again.

Yeah that looks like the perfect job, play with toys all day and get paid for it. Also did you see the figures for the Big O and Guyver, they look pretty sweet.

Looks nice, but I'm not sure about the sculpt of the face... but I'm reserving any further comments until I see some final stuff. ;D

Thanks Koji ! It seems the game version is slimmer and more streamlined and the forearms and lower legs are blue.

Those Big O figures are very cool. Are they going to be die-cast? And how big are the MF gokins? If that Mazinkaizer is going to be a die-cast I want it. I think I want it more than a SOC Gigantor. Oh, yeah- what was that bird-looking thing sculpted in resin (or whatever it is they use)? JWM

Yeah - now I remember. I saw a clip from the SRW games a while ago. IIRC, Mazinkaiser was an excuse to give Kabuto a new mecha to keep up with the ever-evolving line-up of opponents (nothing wrong with that!). But given that fact, one wonders why we still haven't seen a retrofitted Grendizer yet. Hmm... after poking around MaxFactory's site, I'm reminded why I'm so in love with Belldandy... ;D

One problem is that in SRW games Grendizer tends to be quite good from the start, so if they made an upgraded version it would either be a disappointingly small upgrade or too powerful. Probably more importantly, everyone was always dying for Koji to have a come back after his absence in Great Mazinger and him just piloting the weak TFO in Grendizer. Also, they wouldnt re-use the changing when exposed to getter rays thing for a grendizer upgrade, but who can imagine Duke Fleed dumping grendizer for a separate upgraded machine? Grendizer's a "guardian deity" after all.
I suppose the best chance of something new for Grendizer would be a remake along the lines of the new shin getter series.

I am totally with your point ataru !! ... and if you noticed in SRW games .. grendizer and mazinkaiser never meet in one game!! when ever their is mazinkaiser their is no grendizer!! beside .... grendizer was working fine and he fought all the Vegan army !! with barely any scratches!! so I think the best thing is a remake of the original anime .... they edit the story a little to make it shorter.. and we will get a cool remake!! ;D

Oh, yeah- what was that bird-looking thing sculpted in resin (or whatever it is they use)? JWM The Big-O figures won't be diecast, probably PVC over a plastic frame. The only Max Gokin out is Genesis Gaogaigar and he's about 8" tall. Gold posted some cool pictures comparing him with some SOC's in the Brave section. If the "bird thing" your talking about is the bottom picture I posted, he's a villian from Guyver Also I agree with benohki, ataru, chogokinabdul, Grendizer really needs a new OVA or somthing. But I think his design is still fresh and needs no updating/changing, just give him modern animation and he'll give Mazinkaiser a run in terms of power.

The last two figures (are they Tokusatsu?) look bad@$$, especially the bug guy! I don't know who the guy is with the scarf, but the bottom guy is from Guyver but I can't remember his name. Also on a side note I heard that MaxFactory will make a Max Gokin of Gaogaigar. If that's true then a Gaofaigar is most likely in the works too ;D.
