Right now in ebay there's a seller with ZERO FEEDBACK selling almost the complete set of SOCs. He lives in Belgium(which im not sure where it is) and he didnt put down the shipping amount (which he may charge us some ridiculous dose later on). Another wierd thing about this seller is, all of his auction pictures are incomplete box shots, so you have no idea what the content really is or how good is the box condition. I donno if i should bid on his auctions or not, because i really do want the original GX-05 and GX-23A, since the starting price is merely 1$.(GX-23A with a good price is turly hard to find, here im really, really attempting for bidding... ) Here's the link: search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZgirlsQ5fpowerwhat do you guys think? Should i risk the chance of being Ripped off... ?

The few dollars I would save on a good auction deal is not worth the potential hassle if the seller is a flake. Have you written to ask what a shipping cost may be? I would hate to win an auction, and then be obligated to pay high shipping just so that I fulfill my end of the ebay transaction. if you decide to bid, good luck. j*ryu

I have no proof about anything regarding this particular seller, but the user name, low feedback, and location is suspicously similar to that of someone that I know was recently banned from eBay. Plus, I find this stipulation very odd: "I not ship to europe." Um, from Belgium you will not ship within the EU? Why not? Here's another good bit: "We ACCEPT paypal, western union transfer or cash...(next section)...we are sorry that we CANNOT ACCEPT any cheque, western union transfer, cash, bank draft, money order, BIDPAY or postal order." So, do you accept Western Union or not? They basically want Paypal (easy to fraud system, no real accountability) or cash. They want things run in such a way as to rarely if ever have to identify themselves to receive payment, and they want to run the scam beyond their own geographic jurisdictional borders (outside the EU). Oof, smells bad already...
This seller is either a scam artist or mental in my humble opinion.
The only way to do this would be to use an intermediary or "escrow" service, but even they can be part of the scam so be wary of one recommended by the seller. The escrow service is another cost to consider. The escrow service charges a fee to accept your money and hold it until it receives the item in the auction, if and when it receives the item it forwards it to you and the money on to the seller. If payment is not made or the item not recieved, each side is protected.
I would just pass on this seller, the risk is high and if you are in this for the long haul (and you appear to be) you will get another chance at the stuff you want. I advise patience over risk.

I find it particularly odd that this seller has the nerve to stipulate a no-zero-feedback bidders clause when they have zero-feedback themselves... beyond our speculation that this may or may not be a flake, we know one thing already - the seller's a jackass.

The answer is simple, no, why? 1- zero feedbacks, more than anough for me 2- All the Socs? c'mon, after payment received, bye bye.
Just wait 3 weeks until you see any feedbacks.

I'd like to give the benefit of the doubt but besides the standard box shots there are no pictures of the contents. I would ask for pictures of several of the figures and see if he does. But if your gonna sell high priced items like SOC's wouldn't you want to have some feedback. If you have too buy some cheap stuff just to get your feedback going then it would be wise to do it. I'd just e-mail him and try to get more information like where he is really located and his real name.

I think I still may bidding on this, however i will pay to paypal via credit card, so when i dont receive anything i can easily deny the payment through the credit card company... ...(Man, am i too stupid or wut... ...)
Bros, some of our SOC collectors, or our kind of brothers may get screwed(Such as paying this potential fraud via paypal with their own paypal deposit and dont buy Money back garantte) ... ... is there a way to warn them and stop them doing stupid stuff here?Or can we report ebay about this situation? I see another case of JWM growing on here, and right now is not too late i guess... ...

Well you posting here should help in warning people about potential fraud. I'm afraid that people seeing a GX-08 with a starting bid of $1.00 will be to much to refuse. But your right, if your gonna bid you should take all pre-cautions to make sure you can get your money back.

Man, imagine you paid 200$ of your hard earned money for a GX-06 set to support your hobby and got nothing in return... ...I seriously understand this kind feeling because last year i got sucked off 385$... ...

Yeah I've noticed. Plus all those bidders have less than 50 feedback and are bidding on multiple items. Their bidding to soon, the classic newb mistake.

Remembering the turd3110 ripoff, I am reminded of the old saying: If it seems too good to be true it probably is. I noticed that the location on all these was listed as "Toy Factory". I googled 'Belgium toy factory', and then 'toy stores belgium' and didn't come up with anything. There's no SOC so rare that it won't come up sooner or later from a less suspicious seller. I'd pass.

I smell something rotten! Good luck on that one. Sounds like a guy trying to make a few fast dollars. Why do they pick toy collectors to prey upon? Watch those auctions and see what happens for a while before you bid. Maybe he is legit. Everyone has to start somewhere. But I follow the golden rule: No feedback / history = No bid from me

Wouldn't touch any of these auctions with a 100-foot pole. (Not even if I had a 100-foot pole, and could somehow wield it, and.. er, you get the picture.)
Although I DO live close enough to just drive over and bludgeon them into giving me the goods.. hmm...
