Doh. Are you Italian then? ;D And by the way Chen, are you dancouga13 at toysdaily? Nah, that's not me. True I'm Chinese but I also live in a small town in Canada and the only Chinese I understand is the swear words my mom uses at me.

That is interesting. To me the MaxGokin is better styled with better gimmicks but I'm guessing the Aoshima one is sturdier and much heavier.

With the size difference between the Aoshima Kaiser and the MaxGokin, I think you really need to own both. Aoshima version is massive in comparison.

So Which is Better? Mazinkaiser Aoshima or Max Factory? In terms of durability, weight & flexibility?

In terms of look, i have to say MF one. And in terms of weight and height, definitely Aoshima one.
Basically the MF mazinkaiser has the following flaws:
1. Too much plastic, or the plastic parts are more than the metal parts. 2.Small in compare with the Aoshima Mazinkaiser. 3.The elbow got problems as the Aoshima one, both hard to post and limited. 4.There're reported paint chips and scratches on the body from the begining.

I am not digging the elbows. I won't even date a chick with ugly elbows much less a robot. This pic really disturbs me. That just looks wrong. He has TWO elbows on each arm. Poor Mazinkaiser, nobody enderstands me... I mean him.

Ugh!
Here I thought the Aoshima elbows were bad!
The elbow design used by MF is worse.
I'm sticking with my chunky Mazinkai! ;D

The elbows don't look great or good. They look like cockroach eggs connecting the upper arm and lower arm and that's disgusting .

There is no doubt that I am gonna get the Max Factory Mazinkaiser, obviously I am a big fan ;D I guess I will just have to watch the poses.
I hope Bandai is reading this forum, and planning on making their own Mazinkaiser GX-33 (that is the number I want them to use ;D. If so, please please fix the elbow issues that plague the aoshima and max factory Mazinkaisers.
Please ohhh please GOD's of Bandai here my cry!!! Make the Mazinkaiser elbows correctly!

You can blame Mazinkaiser's forearm design for all these ugly elbows. If it were me I would just have cutouts like SOC's have plus it would show off the design details of the gold elbow.

Yes his forearm is a pain-in-the-ass design, it limits the movement range a lot.

Just got mine yesterday :-) And agree that the elbow really is an eyesore and arm limits poseablity. But still cool considering it's my first Mazinkaiser. Thinking og getting the Aoshima one but think will just wait for Aoshima'a new Mazinkaiser (Budget constraints).

I agree with Chen. Forearms should have cutouts, or have an extra forearms set like that included. Anyway, I just saw the pics from the final toy, and it looks impressive. I'm getting this baby for sure...! Sure, elbows were not the smartest design in the world, but the whole package (figure + weapons + base) is amazing, and IMO better than Aoshima's Kaiser.

Don't forget they do have their advantages. By comparison between Aoshima and MF, Aoshima is taller and is heavier and more heftier and much more durable than MF,whereas MF succeeds in a better sculpt(especially the head),posability, and accessories. Both figures do seem to have their disadvatages. Even though I don't own both of them, the Aoshima does have that weak Turbo Punch, and (in my opinion) a flat, yet anime accurate face sculpt. Also like most of Aoshima's SSGs,it has less or no accessories at all. The MFM aalso has its weaknesses such as die-cast content, less durability(paint scratching),and its less heftier than AM. These speculations come from reviews I've read on this board or over at TOYBOXDX,not from actual experience.
