Cool, I like the proportions on the SHE Gaiking better than the GE Chogokin one. But the webpage mentions something about 50MM? It can't possibly the size of the new Gaiking could it? That would make it only 2 inches tall Babelfish can't seem to translate the page Gold

Mannyd mentioned that it was 150mm, so it is around 6 inches. It was also mentioned in their website that it is 150mm. Here is their exact words: 全長:約150mm(合体時頭頂高)

Actually Gaiking is the largest non-combiner SOC figure (I know it combines but you know what I mean) and in powered up mode towers over GX-02R and GX-18 thanks to those huge horns.

I think you might want to get the Gx27, since it's been mentioned over at Zincpanic.com that CMs will be making a Gaiking the Great transforming toy(which includes the Raiking, Vulking and new Gaiking). Gold SHE Gaiking... 150 mm, March release for 29400 yen expensive wow! that's the best gaiking i've seen. blows away both the bandai versions. isn't there a copyright issue? i mean the components seem to interlock the same way as the bandai ver. or is half eye owned by bandai?

I think it's made up of plastic, or, better "resin", like the other products by SHE...
Anyway this is very nice.

SHE charge to much for plastic, they really dont convince me at all, Aquarion is one of the best transformable figures released and it is cheaper than many SHE figures.

The design is just excellent. But if its made out of plastic, I'd rather go for SOC, IMO, nothing beats diecast. both in design and value.

I don't understand why SHE can't make it in diecast. Fewture introduce their Getter Robo lines in diecast, they were know for their plastic lines. The SHE gaiking is almost as as expensive as the Fewture Getter diecast.
If SHE does Gaiking in diecast. I will be willing to paid the same coin as the Fewture Getters. I will be committed to get all three

SHE is expensive, but it is not because of the materials used as such it is for many toys in our genre. Do not make the false correlation of diecast or zinc content and cost. There are many toys that have great zinc content but is not as expensive as some toys mabe of resin or PVC or ABS plastic. There are other factors to consider:
1. How many are actually going to be made; limited availability quantity; exclusivity; How many are still available; Supply and Demand. 2. How well is the toy detailed or the sculpt. 3. What is the quality of the actual sculpt. 4. Materials and quality of the materials.

I agree that artistic design commands the price of an object. But comparing all materials used , die cast materials are solid, durable and heaviness that makes you feel contented with your money's worth.
