I would only get the SHE Gunbuster if I had lots of extra money to burn. It has more engineering in it but it just doesn't look as nice in robot mode as the Gx34 (imho). The screws can be painted over but you're stuck with the dull paint job. You can repaint it...but is it worth it for over $500? Even if you're just buying it to play with...it's made out of resin..which means the joints will deteriorate over time turning it into a rag doll. Which brings us back to display potential: It has more posability than GX34 but so does the MUCH cheaper Kaiyodo version. That's why some people will get both of those together instead of a single SHE. www.hlj.com/product/SHE039Buy it if you really like complex engineering and are willing to pay extra for it.

Knowing the SHE Getters, while SHE has the perfect change tag, due to the complexity of the transformation, you really only want to transform the SHE once in a while. Also, when the screws are not super tighten, the figure itself can be very messy. But I have to admit, the SHE's engineering is astonishing.
I guess Bandai GB is a better "toy" because you can play with it and is alot more robust. It also has a beautiful paint job and a hefty weight.
The SHE GB is more of a collector item due to the lesser production number and its price tag.
For me, Bandai wins. ;D

There's an old story about Robin Williams plopping down over $1000 for a displayed SHE Getter1 in a local shop here in SF. I'm sure he got gouged a little...but a guy like him doesn't even FEEL it. ;D Welcome to the boards, btw!

What was the initial price when it was released? 150-175? Should of gotten it when Betatoys had it.

Good luck on finding one for $280. The lowest I've seen for a used MIB was $380 BIN on evilbay and it was gone within a day. Are you buying? Check the sales thread from time to time or better yet post a WTB thread.

the She robots are made for cool transformation, but certainly not looking great! Do you want something that looks impressive or something that works impressively? That is the difference. And also to me the point of perfect transformation means nothing when the robot isnt anime accurate like most SHE,they suffer because of perfect transformation aesthetically.Like weird parts hanging off them etc.The only one I really liek is the green sword that turns into a robot, from some Manga, forget his name, that one is cool.

Check the sales thread from time to time or better yet post a WTB thread. evilbay is full of HK sellers trying to rip people off. Ebay may always have all the SoCs available all the time, but that's because they're so stupidly expensive that nobody's buying them! I ended up getting one from Mandarake for $270, thanks to some pointers from a fellow collector on another forum

Great pictures, unfortunately I had to sell mine but for me I still prefer the original compared to the R version, the purple colour just didn't sit well with me.
