I would like to have your opinions about that. Which serie is the best ? Do someone have both and can put a comparison picture ? I love my Yamato Giant Robo, so I think the Yamato Hero Collection may be as good as this one. It's cheaper than the SOC line. I don't know if the SOC line is taller or if the size is the same... Pictures to show what i'm talking about : YAMATO HERO COLLECTION BANDAI SOUL OF CHOGOKIN(collection of Orbitron)Give me your opinion ;D

If you can get all four for less than $100.00 shipped to you then it is a good deal. Its not soc quality though.

The Hero Collection are smaller (about 6 inches or 15cm tall) and not as nice quality as SOC or Giant Robo. Their die-cast content is pretty good though, only the hands, feet, head and accesories are plastic, the rest is metal.
They are quite nice for the price, but if you're expecting something the quality of SOC or Giant Robo you'll probably be dissapointed.

I also concur ... I have a getter robo G hero collection and the SOC version.
SOC clearly is way superior. Detail and size. Plus SOC comes with dragon ship, different hands. 2 axes, and the buzzsaw turns as well. Oh you're also able to have shootable fists (by adding a attachment to the forearm(s) )

The SOC lineup has my vote on this one too. I have purchased a Mazinger Z hero collection as a present to one of my best friends. Normally I would have bought two and keep the other for myself so I don't feel left out but when I saw the difference in quality and such I didn't feel bad that I don't have one.

SOC all the way. This is why SOC are more expensive, their quality is no match.

Three letters sum it up. SOC! I have all the Hero Collection pieces and they are nice if you can get them cheap. Diecast content is very good as said before and I like them myself. However, SOC is far superior in all regards.

I've seen the Hero Collection, and I was kinda impress with them. My friend has Great Mazinger. Hero Collection is affordable and playable. But the thing about that line is that the sculpt/model of the Chogokins isn't really that attractive. The paint job is nice but their color schemes isn't as nice as SOC. But then again, they cost about 1/2-1/3 of the price, around 20-30$. If they can just use the sculpt from the Revoltech line and make those die cast, then maybe SOC will have some competition.
