What the .... that looks like the gonk droid in star wars Perhaps George stole part of the idea from UltraSeven. Wouldn't be the only copy/derivative in the Star Wars universe. But more likely, the gonk droid looks like what it is; two trash can lids welded/glued together with parts from various plastic model kits affixed to the outside and some lame feet attached. Most of the props/droids/ships you remember from SW are just that. Improvised household and hardware store items connected and painted in imaginative ways. I would imagine the old Tsuburaya and Toho live action stuff is very similar in nature. These guys did not have huge budgets to work with. Neither did George when he made the first film.

Guys, did I miss something? Inside joke, or just another KingJoe bashing round? sorry bro, no king joe bashing here. its just us, 45 and me, SR collectors who are not familiar with toku bots. i've sold my soc BFJ, and 45 here is saying he will go up to leopaldon only. but him being a completist of regular colored soc, is thinking hard about king joe

It's all good. Don't we wish we actually had an inside man. 45, get the KingJoe. The Toy Karma gods will look down and smile upon you. All of your SOC wishes will finally come true. ;D

King Joe kicks the crap out of Ultra Seven. He is a combiner and he looks like the old school "Saturn V" battery operated robots I played with as a kid, I would get one of these. Especially since I think this may be in the lower price point spectrum of the SOC's. Also I have U7 as a Ultrachogokin and as a "Action Hero" which is the same size as an SOC and they are looking for some payback from King Joe.
