Awright, ToyFreeks! It's about That time for
another one of my toy reviews, once again! <LOL>
And, For This special occasion, since it happens
to be one of my Personal favorites, I'm gonna
name this thread " Toyopsy "... ;D
...coz ya just Know, when I get a new toy- I'm
gonna look it All Over, Up, Down, Inside, Out,
right down to da Apax!
NOTE:
My findings are Only Factual to my Personal
experience with the toy; and in No way represent
nor should influence Your decisions about getting the
same product... That is up to Your Own
Hands-On experience with the toy.
For now, first up on the table:
Yujin Master Action Perfect Version MAZINKAISER
Da BOX:
Yes, da Box art. Striking, Colorful, Enticing, and Vivid
all around (fig1). Japanese instructions, more pics, and
manufacturer's info/website on the backside...
...for more hyrogliphics, visit Yujin's website at
www.yujin-net.com
Ah, but look CLOSER (fig2)... It seems the Kaiser figure
used in This boxart photo-shoot had already been played
with? He got scratch marks on his belly, and around both
his knees. He also has mold burrs at the seams where his
thigh-halves assemble together.
The Yujin folks didn't catch that flaw when they did the
photo-shoot. If any of you have Yujin Kaisers, look at your
boxes--- you might find the same flaws, too.
BUT STILL, I luv my Yujin Kaisers!
Da PACKAGING:
He comes in a clear plastic body-tray (fig3); complete with
extra sets of hands; accessories include two full-sized
swords, a KaiserPilder in "flight" mode and another
KaiserPilder in "Dock" mode to fit inside Kaiser's crown;
and two sets of red chestplates: one is orbed with the "Z"
logo, and the other has no orb/logo but just a plain black
surface... Why is That?
In a separate clear plastic body-tray lies the Scrander wings
tucked in plastic bags; and the Scrander hull in a separate
tray mold.
My concern: No display stand included with this figure.
My solution: I'll make my Own killer display stands, and my
Yujin Kaisers will look Better with 'em!
As good as this figure is built, it Still shoulda been packed
in styrofoam molds to protect the toy from shock and impact
while in transit from the manufacturer's warehouses to the
toystores to the consumers.
Da FIGA:
They're made of PVC/ABS plastic that is sturdy and rock-solid.
The head-horns are the most plyable parts in this figure.
The forearms appear to be diecast (?)... I found a small paint-chip
on my Kaiser's forearm edge at the wrist, revealing diecast.
My solution: I touched it up with a slight dab of black enamel
paint matching the Blackness of this supreme figure! <LOL>
This figure stands at 8 inches tall, and weighs roughly about
2 or 3 ounces, I dunno, with the Scrander wings attached.
This figure's joints are ratcheted at the thighs and knees
for stability when posed in a given stance. All other joints
are smooth-pivotal (figs 4 and 5).
Being Brand-New, I had to struggle to initially pose this
figure; coz the joints are stiff during the time From when it
comes off the production line To the time someone buys and
starts playin with it.
I also had a little trouble opening his sword hand to attach
his swords... Be Very Careful: the knuckles are joined to the
palm via two small plastic pegs... the first sword pose opening
this hand can be Vital and ya might break the knuckles if ya
try to force the hand open.
The swords are made of hard plastic, highly-detailed,
one has an orb "Z" logo, the other sword doesn't.
The swords are fragile and can break if the figure falls
off a high shelf... This is why Yujin SHOULDA included a
display stand for these figures!
Da LOOK:
These Yujin Kaisers I have here are the "Perfect Version"
figures, meaning they are Anime-accurate, in detail,
to the OAV series. (figs 6 thru 8)
They are appealing to the eye when on display, and bear
a striking Presence when posed for action.
They will fit perfect in a diorama setting (fig7), and look
great on the shelf of any collector and fan of the Mazinkaiser
super-robot.
OVERALL RATING:
Being that I'm a Mazinkaiser fan, I've been crazy about
having Any figures from the Mazinger family...
I never imagined I'd one day own such fine figures as
these Yujin Mazinkaisers, which- like my Revoltech
Mazinkaiser, and my other Mazinger-Z figures- leave me so
wonderstruck with Awe...
...therefore, I must rate these Yujins Kaisers a 10,
due to my own personal enjoyment of these figures.
Majiiiiiiin, GO!
