The breast plate (red part) and the head are the only difference body wise. After that the ramp in the back and the motorcycle is different.

simple to say, Bandai only remold the new head , the motocylce , the Heat sink breast plate and the ramp... Vola... Energer Z is born...

Received mine today... not as disgusting as I thought, especially because the ramp in the back is removable. Same body as the regular GX-07 (can do the Breast of Fire move) but the silver on the arms, legs, and torso is actually sort of "Cobalt Blue" - no chrome at all, which is nice!!! I Paid a pretty penny for it (with EMS shipping) so I do hope it is a "collectors" edition ala Aoshima's Ankoku Daishogun TV Version... Some pics: }D

Wow...very nice! I'm still kind perplexed by the motorcycle in the head thing though. How the hell is Koji supposed to stay on the bike when Energer is moving...or in battle?

I know... Go Nagai was smoking something weird the moment he came up with the ENERGER Z idea... Fortunately he came to his senses and did most of the improvements on the initial concept shortly afterwards!!!

Any of the usual suspects? (HLJ, Toy-Wave, Angolz, BBTS, BetaToys, StatueToys) The gokin will be out next week. I just don't want to be late to the party since it's suppose to be "limited".....or too late and the price is $$$ ;D After much strife and money counting, I went for one... hopefully this won't muddle my plans to get the MF GGGG and an Xbox 360 this month..... but it's an investment piece and I'd rather pay the high price now than the HIGHER price later.... this will probably become like the grey Gigantor and other rare SOC's (though I doubt it'll get as much as the GX-01RB) I was thinking likewise. Anyway, I believe the prices for this GX-07E Limited Energer Z will go as high as what happed to the GX-07 Toys Dream Project Mazinger Z OVA Version which includes the Sayaka Yumi pewter figure. I mean, check out these collectors buying multiples of this GX-07E Limited. In any case, Get 'em while you can!d.hatena.ne.jp/fox_zero/20071227/1198682841blogs.yahoo.co.jp/horn_horn_horn/51043975.html

That exhibition poster is beautiful! While I like the visual design of the new Maz, the whole concept is butt. The rider is completely exposed, and will surely die in any confrontation (not to mention about how the motorcycle would be able to stop at that speed without flinging the rider). Maybe some sorta dome shoulda been designed for it. Regardless, if I had the cash, I would still pick it up.

I read somewhere that they were selling for an average of 6000 Yen on Yahoo Japan! What gives?!?!?! }D I think the suggested retail price is 5000 Yen, but almost everyone here has paid close to 10000 Yen (double) plus shipping. Nice profit for those sellers that's for sure.

The "White" Mazinger GX-01R is a custom paint job - which is unfortunate that Bandai didn't offer a re-color "true-to-anime". I had to do it myself... and beleive me, I would have paid for one already like that. The GX-02R Great Mazinger is next on my list to get the "anime color" treatment too, but right now is just too cold around here to do any painting at all.
