We don't have a thread specifically for God Mars so I created this. So it looks like Reideen is not GX-40 so please edit the Reideen thread title. (mods?) It is slated to be released by the end of March 2008 and is also the most expensive regular release SoC to date AFAIK @ 21,850 yen. Pre-orders available at HLJ (Early Bird), BetaToys, Toy-Wave & Angolz. No sign at BBTS yet.

Youtube should have some clips of the animation. Godmarz probably won't come with a lot of accessories, as Godmarz use mostly its big sword for the final kill. But there are various fighters from the show if Bandai is being generous enough to include those. Gaia (red robot) supposed to come with its rock statue mountain thing (conceals the robot in the show). The Godaikin has a small sword for each individual robot, but not sure if they actually appeared in the show. Its been too long since i watched it, so can't remember the details. ;D

Know what? I don't have a love at first site reaction to Godmarz. Unlike Dancouga, Gunbuster and Baikanfu... I instantly fell in love with these guys despite not knowing anything about them. However, Godmarz is now growing on me (though really blocky, at least it is not all red like Ideon and Iron Gear). Maybe because I am now caught up with all of the SOC's (I am getting Iron Gear and Baikanfu for Christmas) and I need a fix. The unfortunate thing is that my birthday is in February and there are no scheduled SOC releases until end of March. This may be my fist SOC-free birthday in close to a decade. That day may not be so special to me...

w00t! Looks like this is gonna be the next big thing. I'm really looking forward to any new "Soul of Godaikins". ;D Yeah! I rally dig that Rex. ~SOUL OF GODAIKIN~So far, BetaToys has the best deal. Their shipping is fixed at $12 for domestic. Total would be $220. The negative part is that you have to pay ASAP. And if you are wondering if you would get it early.... Dear ZMan:
We do not buy from Diamond. Yes, we receive our items within 1 week of their release date in Asia. Just preorder it from our site now. It ships end of March.

What is that Cosmo Crusher??[/quote I think the Cosmo Crusher was the space ship that the earth defence force used in the Godmars cartoon. i think the honor was an memeber of the special earth defence. i remember watching that show many years ago and it was a pretty stupid show.

Nice. The arms actually fold into the body.

Why is Godmarz the most expensive SOC? Is it purely because of its size? Or is it its ide-cast content or engineering? Just curious...

Probably a combination of all, at 28-30cm Godmarz will be one of the tallest with I think only Ideon and Iron Gear being taller. I wouldn't count on too high of a diecast content because of the high degree of transformation with all the folding panels. The high price though will most likely be due to the high engineering and tooling costs for all the parts. Plus you are basically getting six robots plus some cool little accessories.

Yeah. 6 robots are a lot in a set afterall. Don't feel like they overcharged on this one, given it was executed so well from the design stand point. Just hope the actual parts fitment is just as great.
