Well the One at Betatoys is $208 plus #12 for shipping so it was $220 all together which was a pretty decent price. Then I brought one from imageanime(Thats usually where i get my anime stuff from)and it was an early bird so to say for $240 plus $15 shipping so i ordered one from there too. Usually if its a robot i've used to watch from childhood i'll buy two. I did with Voltes, Golion, and Zambot so why not for Godmars. lol. I cant figure out why i never got SOC Dancouga yet though lol. oh well

haha thanks rex, i agree the new super robot renaissance is definetly an exciting time for toy collectors around the globe. one of the few things we can thank the internet for. exposure of classic series' that ignited a renewed interest in long forgotten properties that have more potential now then ever before

Now, if we could just get more legit subtitled dvd's of the classic shows to go with our SOC God Mars, Mazingers, Getters, etc. we non-Japanese speaking Chogokin fans would really be living the high life in the new "Super Robot Renaissance."

i totally agree shantastic but unfortunetly its popular demand that gets us great anime. sux that there isnt a legitimate production company that is easily swayed by fanboy and forum chatter. Maybe one day we will see it but its rare that an old anime is released. I'm still suprised that adult swim is airing the classic black and white astroboy.

Count my vote in for legit DVDs that don't cost a leg! Wasn't there a Voltes V or Combattler V set released not that long ago that boiled down to like $300 to $500 dollars for the set? That is crazy!!!

Yeah. But given the shows are so old and small demand, highly doubted the old shows will ever surface in legit DVD forms. Even great shows like Votoms barely survive for a domestic release, and with no OVAs. Let alone a lot of the older super robot stuff that most of these toys are based on, as their stories or animation is not all that great (even though we'd still love to see and own).
