I never saw the anime, but I quite like the Black Ox but I'm not so keen on the GX44 itself. Would have loved to get the Black OX only, but I guess no can do! Get the set and sell the Tetsujin 28 if you don't like it. I am positive someone will buy it from you fairly quickly. LOL Great Idea! I'm with you, I think it would sell fairly quickly for a collector that wants an extra T-28. You may have to take a small loss, 5-10 USD, but I think that may work.

Hi 00silvergt, I will have all the color versions of the SOC's by Christmastime (GX-01 to Daimos). How about you? You're in Cali, right? I will be there for Christmas--San Fran to be exact.

I just got mine today. The s version is heavy! I picked it up locally for 138 and 74 dollars not a bad deal considering I don't have to pay shipping;)

I got both versions and I must say that the S model is worth it in terms f weight. I agree that the hand is a bit bad because it's not glossy like the rest of the body. But I love the articulation. I wished they had used the same light up for the eyes. That would have been a good feature

Excellent! I work in San Francisco, maybe we can do lunch or something?! Stop by Kimono My House while you are here, before they close down at the end of next month. I'll have them all by Christmas as well (GX-01 - GX-44S).

Some form of contacts would be needed in the neck (fragility becomes an issue).

Wait...so does the single Tetsujin have less diecast than the one that comes in the set? I thought they were both the same, and that the only difference was that the set comes with Ox.

I thought that they were the same as well, save for Black Ox. I think he meant the S is worth it due to the added toy?

Ok, check this out: Picture taken from our very own Gold, btw. See GX-44/GX-44S is the same toy, however, Black Ox doesn't seem to have much metal in him. Look at the legs.

They wouldn't put different diecast contents in the same figure across two sets; that would require an extra mold, which ads tens of thousands of dollars to the production costs on molds alone. Plastic isn't THAT much cheaper than pot metal zamac, either. I'll bet my year's salary that the metal content between the set version and individual version base figure is the same.

Yeah, it doesn't make sense for them to cast two different ones. I got cornfused when zetaking was saying he had both sets and how the S version was heavy and worth it in terms of weight. Maybe he meant two robots are heaver than one.
It is odd they'd skip the legs and feet on Ox, assuming that photo is true to the finished product.
Regardless, I will be getting T28 for sure...but not until sometime next year.
