Yep tell me about it... sure, it's turning out to be great year for hory kawamori san... but for us kawamori geeks, just thinking about the 1/60 VF-0S coming out in February is making my wallet cringe... and then March, has the recolored Aquarion, and I can't forget about the Optimus designed by Kawamori also... and factor in the 2 Voltes Vs I'm gonna get at that time is really gonna break me in April, just in time for tax time. Sigh, so many toys, so little money. Between this, two Voltes SOC's, the 1/60 VF-0, Shin Aquarion, and the MF Godannar, I'm going to be broke too. That doesn't include the figures yet....

The GBP looks strange on the VF-1S. Anyway, I've just ordered a VF-1J and will wait when the GBP is released here in Taiwan.

I agree I think the 1J looks the best in it, I can't wait to see someone mod one into a low vis colour scheme.

those guys at macross world are going crazy about it! it might be nice with good detail but the gbp is only an add on and very expensive one! i can really see them drooling at the photos printing them and going to the bathroom and "ahem"... pleasuring themselves...! not that there is nothing wrong with it... i will get one but i am more of an aoshima daishogun fan! long live diecast!

The GBP is very impressive. I just really wish Yamato would give the oversized packing a rest. It almost seems as if Yamato has stock in the Japanese Post Office. Still I will have mine soon.............................real soon.

I wonder if they'll sell sets w/ the valk.
if not I guess this armor will have to go on my Vf-1a Max M. Valk as I really don't want to "separately get" another valk for the armor.

Funny - it's almost like I planned for this... My 1/48 collection went like this: I got a Low-Viz many moons ago... then I bought a Strike armour set, and last year I picked up a 'Hikaru' coloured Super VF-1J. And when the 'Fokker' VF-1S was rereleased, I grabbed one of those too. At the moment, I've stripped the Low-Viz and gave the Strike parts to Roy giving him the DYRL-look. And I'll be putting the GBP-1S set to Hikaru.... Huh.

If you still have your Low-Viz you should get those clear fast packs for it, I think it looks killer plus it adds to the stealth look.

It's on MW. I recall Graham mentioning that there's no giftset.

Chet, go to Macross World. There are pics of custom valks in the TOYS Gallery. I recall one of the customs to be the Enigma Valkyrie (very close to Low Vis colors), with the Transparent FP's.

On a related note - who's already bought this and how much was it? I'm seeing the pricing fluctuate like crazy on this thing. Toy-Wave dropped it's price as far as $105 at one point and when I went to order it this week, it was up to 120 (and marked as "Rare"). Most places are still listing it as a "pre-order" even.... And instead of the usual deluge of eBay auctions on a new Yamato item, there's only 1 Buy-It-Now listed at a ridiculous $130!! Sheesh.

I bought the Yamato GBP Valkyrie Armor Set for 3,900 NTD (121 USD), which is about the same price Ben-Ohki quoted. Well, I don't actually own it yet since I asked a local toyshop owner to save one set for me until I get some cash next week. Fortunately, I made a trip this evening to this toyshop because they're one of the few places in town that imports Yamato products. The owner had just put six boxes on the shelf, and they're selling fast. Again, the boxes are, uh,..."huge" for the actual contents inside. Anyhow, I think I already saved money on shipping costs with the price I got this item for. Now I can't wait to attach the armor to my 1/48 VF-1J Hikaru's Valkyrie. I'll post pictures once I get this baby.
