Oof! Earlier today I took a b. i. n. on a s. o. c. Poseidon from the same guy, terng3110! I'm really kicking myself because I'd already visited this thread and failed to make a note, mental or other wise, of his handle. Let me know if yours comes please, JWM. I'll post if mine does too, and this will turn into a vindication of the guy rather than the catalyst for a head beating. Peace, man!

Hypnotator: Long time no see. How's the world treating you? I'm hoping everything works out OK, and I have a feeling it will. (Especially considering his prices.) It'll be two weeks tomorrow since I placed the order. I'll post as soon as I get it. Your new avatar is frightening. I'm thinking Benny Hill on crack. JWM

That avatar was something I did for an online Photoshop competition, but I was too late to submit. The theme was famous men as famous women, and I called this "Ollie Jean Baker".

Bomber2: Exactly the same here. So far, no GX. He already posted a positive feedback for me. Today will be three weeks since I placed the order. JWM

Guys, I really hope your orders get fulfilled, but I cannot stress enough to remember eBay's and PayPal's protection time frame.
You have 30 days after payment was made to file a report with PayPal. After that you're 100% S-O-L. If you haven't received your merchandise by the 29th day, I'd do it then, without hesitation.
You have 90 days after auction end to leave feedback on eBay. If you do end up getting scheisted by a seller, do not leave negative feedback until day 89, so that little, if no time is left to spare for the dishonest seller to leave an unjustifiable retaliatory negative for you. As we all know, the internet is a great place, but it's crawling with creeps who live anywhere in the world and have no fear using dirty unethical tactics against the good people they'll never encounter face to face.
I say all this because it has happened to me on more than one occasion, and I absolutely don't want to sit back and watch it happen to you guys. Best of luck with your dealings.

Thanks, Rex: I am watching the calendar as well as waiting for the mailman every day like a stupid dog.
Bomber2: I'm not really worried, yet. He doesn't have a lot of feedback but none of it indicates anyone being burned. One or two people remarked that orders took a long time. I haven't bought a lot of stuff from Hong Kong, but the stuff I have ordered from there has taken three weeks or more to get here. JWM

jwm - I see that you haven't received your GX-03. What kind of shipping did the seller use? If he used EMS it should take about 7 days and that's with a tracking number. If he used SAL (from my experience with hlj.com) - it takes about 4-6 weeks. HANG ON in there!

I had emailed terng3110 2 days ago (Sunday night here) and asked for a tracking number. he said he would give me the tracking number. I'm still waiting...
I emailed him anonymously about another item and...
You asked: "how long does it take for item to get to US?"
it takes about 10-21 days, depend on your country custom Thanks !
I've crossed the line from curious to suspicious

I just checked his feedback again. There were postings made today:
"Finally, after 47 days, item arrived..."
This was for a GX-18 Getter Dragon. Nobody has claimed they were burned on a transaction. So whatever this guy is doing is inefficient, and time consuming, but I don't think we need to worry about getting burned. Still, I'm tired of watching for the mail truck like some idiot dog looking for an excuse to bark.

still waiting for my GX20 but it's less than 2 weeks since he said he posted so i'll have to be patient. I noticed his negative feedback said things like "don't buy from it" which conveys the annoyance of the purchaser but doesn't explain the girevance

Those three negatives all came from the same guy and it seemed to be an issue of late payment on his part. My order was placed on the third of the month- close to four weeks now. Still waiting. Still barking. JWM

Four weeks seems pretty long, how is he shipping it to you? Did he give you a tracking number? I've also noticed that he has given 100+ positive feedback to buyers but has only recieved 56 back and only 46 by unique members. This could mean that some buyers weren't happy and just decided not to give any feedback.

I haven't received a tracking number. bomber2 requested one but hasn't posted whether he got any reply. I'm going to send a request for some sort of shipping confirmation after I finish this post. Here's my feeling about what he's doing- I think he's promissing "7-14 day delivery" which would be air mail from Hong Kong and in reality the stuff is being shipped by boat which would account for the 47 days -six weeks-that one guy posted. I'm not happy, but I don't yet have that 'spider sense' tingle that I'm getting ripped off. On second thought- when I write a note to him I'll ask him to log on here at R-J to address these concerns. If he's legitimate he shouldn't have a problem doing so. JWM

Here is a copy of the e-mail I just sent to terng3110: Dear terng 3110:
To date I have not received my order. It has been over three weeks since the end of the auction. I would appreciate getting a tracking number for this shipment. As I mentioned before, I moderate a discussion board of Japanese toy collectors.
robotjapan.proboards12.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1115401583&page=1
Several of our members are awaiting items from your e-bay auctions and there is some concern about the length time that has passed, and the lack of shipping confirmation. The link I provided is a direct link to a thread on the board discussing these issues. We would greatly appreciate hearing from you. You can log on as a guest and address these concerns. Your prices for the Soul of Chogokin issues are very good. No one minds waiting for a shipment if we are aware beforehand that it will take time. As it is,we are getting concerned. We are not a group of kids. We are adults, professionals, and we spend a lot of money on this hobby. If you would like to retain our business, please take a few minutes to log on and let us know what's up. Yours: J.W.M We'll see if this does any good. JWM

I'm on a lookout for a GX-06. I've been monitoring ebay for the past two weeks and 3 times I've seen this guy sell the GX-06 for $129 the first time and $109 the past 2 times and he's claiming that he has 10 available each time. It's not only the GX-06, he also has the GX-03, GX-18 and GX-19 all at 10 a piece. It makes me wonder how he get his supply and for that much? The price is pretty good compared to the other sellers price which averages from $180-250 on the GX-06 (shipping not included). I sent him an email once on how much more if it were to be sent by EMS w/tracking and he's only reply is that it's "too expensive". I haven't bought from him--which more likely-- I won't.. I'll just have to wait and see if the other people that bought the GX-06 from him will be posting their feedbacks.

Hi all, This is the response I got:
You asked: "hi, I'm still waiting for the tracking number for these items."
Hello I already shipped the package. Please allow a little more time. The item will arrived for sure. Please check my feedback, I never playing game with anyone. I have no idea what's going with your custom about toys. I believe that the item has arrived to your country. It is only just stuck at the custom. Please allow more time for delivery. Thanks The tracking no. for your item is CP 012679320 TH but im not sure that air registered e-mail will provide checking online"
I checked. It wasn't a valid tracking number. The plot thickens.....

I got an e-mail back from terng3110 today. Again, he apologized for the time it was taking, and assured me that the order will be here soon. As I've said a few times before, I don't have a bad feeling about this guy. Of course, I have nothing to go on but my gut instinct and I have been wrong more than once in my life. Nonetheless, something tells me to give him the benefit of the doubt. He is in Alhambra, which is not far from Los Angeles, California. His orders are being shipped from Hong Kong. Obviously, he has limited control over the shipping process. So I wait, and try to be patient. Not much else I can do, really. JWM
