I should have put the Fewture Mazingers in there, but I was sort of focusing on things that have a awhile before being released. The Fewture Mazingers are probably a must have anyway!

There's a new version of the Big-O coming out?!? That sounds cool as well; I'm off to search for images... You mean there's one out already? Yeah, I'm referring to the Bandai "Anime Collector's Series". They put out a Big-O, a Big Duo, and some characters from some other shows. The 'bots are O.K., but they are entirely plastic and have limited articulation. Here are a few pics of my Big-O and Duo:

Raideen got my top vote... because it was the first 'Japanese Super robot' I became aware of*** when I was old enuff to understand what all the fuss about that genre. Kotetsushin Jeeg comes in 2nd place for me, because I'm still trying to digest this character. I'd never seen the classic Jegg series; but I'm very impressed with the new Jeeg (2007). (***I'm not counting Gigantor, which I watched while I was in kindergarten/first-grade elementary school). Looking at it all from a wide perspective, I'm sure many fans of their favorite characters and robots are boiling Happy with this year's new releases... ...many dreams are coming to realization, more or less what fans had long waited for and expected. zozo-Magengar

Just watched the first 2 episodes of Koutetsushin Jeeg last night, and it was a blast, so I suppose I will be highly expecting the SOC also. However, Reideen is still on top of my priority list.

Jeeg is second for me too. From the blueprint diagram it looks like the accessories and gimmicks will rock.

I wonder if Bandai will release the sky, marine and earth parts in similar fashion as the GX-04X? That's awful lot of stuff to pack in a single relase, judging from the size of the mach drill and the bazooka alone. It would be interesting to see how Bandai will make the transforming raikouba for the head.
Finished watching Kotetsushin Jeeg, I loove it! One of the best show I've seen in ages, the animation was excellent blend of traditional anime and 3DCG, and mostly, it doesn't drag on and on (but I do wish that it was at least 26 episodes instead of 13) ;D ;D!

Long live Jeeg!
Really though, you guys who would rather have the original Jeeg design, why not buy the original Jeeg re-issues? I guess what I'm saying is that I'm glad we're getting something different, even though I do love the original Jeeg. If they made a SOC Jeeg of the original design, it would basically just be the same figure as the old one wouldn't it?

Maybe because Takara's Jeeg is terrible in proportion? I don't know, I've never handled one of these before. I saw some pictures of Yujin's Jeeg, which has better proportion and sculpt IMHO, but I have no idea of what it's made of. Any information on this product? I searched around the web but hardly find any information.
