It's been another amazing year for collecting robots and things just seem to get better and better!
This thread is for the best figure of 2007 that cost less than $100. Be sure to also vote in the other TOTY thread for your choice of figures that cost $100 or more. You can vote in both threads.
Again we would encourage everyone to consider the following criteria before voting: Engineering, sculpt, playability, quality and overall presentation of the product and packaging. Remember that we really aren't trying to have a popularity contest as much as a vote for the most deserving candidate.
Thanks to all the members here that makes this the best forum on the web! If you see any problems with the vote or have any questions, please post in this thread.

Ya' know I almost edged towards voting for the Revoltech...they are fun. But in the end I just couldn't resist the big bang for the buck on Masterpiece Skywarp. The sculpt and engineering and end product is just amazing!

Masterpiece Starscream for $48.88 is unbeatable :-)

MP Skywarp got my vote, although Music Label Soundwave, Revoltech Dix Neuf and Mass Production Eva were very close runners up.

As a footnote I just received my US MP Starscream and in comparison it is no way better than MP Skywarp, the paint apps of Skywarp put this figure to shame. Skywarp is by far the better figure albeit more expensive to the US consumer.

More expensive? How about double or more :-)

Of those, I have Mazinkaiser and Black Getter. Had to give it to Ryoma. Though, I wonder why Getter 1 and Shin Getter 1 weren't listed...

I was just about to ask why isn't Classics Jetfire up there until I realized that remarkable toy came out in 2006-07. I voted for MP Skywarp just because the mold fits the colors better and oddly enough seems more befitting the character of Skywarp.

So I'm thinking this would be a good thread to learn robots names and all...for those of us maybe just starting out really (and I admit I may be the only one) but there aren't any pics to go with the names! I don't know if that was just too time-consuming or not possible and I honestly am not trying to make anyone's job harder (I promise) but it would be nice. Or maybe links to pics/info?
And I am not gonna vote because I haven't a clue what most of these look like in real life. Next year, hopefully.

The masterpiece Transformers got my vote. It is great to see such iconic characters finally given the deluxe treatment; especially the Megatron. At last; a version of the Bot that looks cool in both gun AND robot mode!

Mikey I agree, so here is the link to my earlier thread. I did my best to do links to each toy/product/type. So just click on the link to read about details & see pictures: robotjapan.proboards12.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1199420560Ed

While I would love to vote for one of the Takara DMZ Votoms figure, I thought they are way passed $100 price range. They are priced 16800yen and up, so I think they don't belong to this $100 OR LESS category.

If we continue with this voting system based upon the "over and under $100" then I'll have more planning time next year and hopefully be more thorough.

Not that the DMZ will win in either category, but just want to point it out (love those toys though). Thanks for all the work putting this together actually.

I am the single vote for Revoltech's Dix Neuf. That figure is awesome. The mafia robot.
