It's made by Bandai. I think curently BBTS and HLJ listed under Mugenbine have it on pre-order status, but it is out in Japan and Hong Kong. Just to keep everyone on the same level here, it will have no metal. In fact probably not even metal screws because it's one of their "candy" figures where you buy the individual figures separately and get candy with them. So very much an all plastic toy and might have stickers. BUT I don't care, I'm getting it. It looks like awesome cheap fun!

I should add that it looks like both BBTS and HLJ are selling this as a complete set with all five figures.

Looking at this closely, it does in fact look like a lot of the funky coloration and design is from stickers. That's kind of a bummer if you like keeping your sticker sheets intact, but easily overcome with a scanner and some sticker paper.

HLJ does have these in stock, but are only selling them by the case (10 pack), which is the same thing BBTS is doing. Unfortunately this does not guarantee that you would get all five?

drool!!! the poseability is MUCH better than i originally expected...now i MUST have. but last time i looked on BBTS they only sold the 10-pack, and that would make 2 of it...and unless it's going to have an alternate colored second, like Re-Ment stuff does, i don't want to spend $40 on 2....unless anyone would like to go halfsies? i'll check again. but which will be better? HLJ or BBTS? it's actually $40 for 10(5x2) not $60 if you read my post before i am modifying it. www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=BAN11614&mode=retaili don't know about this company, but i do know with boxed stuff like this, i have always gotten full sets. now with the gashapon orb containers, it's not the same at all. ok...i just ordered a set from HLJ.com and a Kamen Rider Kiva figure... Xiombarg...do u already have yours?

I might consider going halfs. I can't bring myself to spend over 20 for this.

Falconhood
I've got a set of five on their way from Hong Kong. Keep in mind you might want to wait before you decide to go half and half with somebody because you might not get two complete sets. I'm not positive on this, but I believe they are randomly packed, so I would think you will get at least one complete set, but maybe not two??? Just let me know how it turns out when you get your order and I'll pick up your extra figures even if they aren't a complete set, if that sounds good to you?
edit- If you do get two complete sets, go ahead and work it out with coldiron, but if you don't I'll buy the left overs.

Good point. If its unsure that there is not complete sets, thats too risky. Might be why the HLJ set is $10 more.

BBTS is $10 more, because they always charge more than HLJ(because they already imported), not the other way around: BBTS=$40+S&H HLJ=30+much more S&H both come in a set of 10 boxes. i'll let you know how it comes out in 2-4 weeks, unless the BACKORDERED Kiva takes longer. See the yen price: BAN950977 RHSVK-01 K. Rider Kiva Kiva Form 1 ¥800 ¥800 BAN950597 Mugenbine 5 Shinju 1Box 10pcs 1 ¥3,000 ¥3,000 they just sent a order confirmation, and the shipping isn't determined yet, and probably won't be until Kiva becomes available again. i would LOVE if there are 2 complete sets! (Transformers that came like this had 2 complete sets too, the second set was unpainted, and was clear in one series, and pewter in another series).. i would love to get a BLACK/GOLD 2nd set if it happens. i wonder if the guy you ordered from knows if this is true? and for those who didn't find it on the link above, there is a second page of pix: cms.or.tp/~gamu/syokugan/mugen/mugen1/mugen2.htmlwow...this is one sexy bot!

I agree, this would look excellent in a black/gold, or even black/silver! But I'm fairly sure that there is only one version, otherwise it would be documented. With candy toys it's kind of hard to say whether you will get two complete sets or not, because they sell them kind of like trading cards..where you keep buying packs until you get your set, and end up with a lot of extras. But maybe not? So Falconhood, if you do get extras and you don't want them, I'm willing to buy them for custom kitbashing ideas that might be kind of fun, and where he's cheap it won't matter if they don't work out.
Even though he's an inexpensive plastic figure, he's a sexy design. In fact, I would love a gokin version of this dude. Of course that won't happen, but he is killer looking. And one thing I have to give him credit for is that his separate figure pieces are really funky and certainly not what you see in your average set of gattai/combo figures.
One thing I really do wish though, is that he didn't use stickers. Stickers look fine, but after a few years often the stickers are falling off and then you have to glue them on etc. and paint always looks so much better. But he is what he is, and really I'm just glad some cool Japanese designers made this guy to begin with!

Well keep me posted on hat you find. I did not realize the HLJ version was also two sets.
I really like this design. If I get good enough in the future with mold making and resin kits, I think I might make a mold of mine and try and do a more detailed resin/plastic version of this. Down the road of course.

why is it that Bandai is putting out an original and extremely hot toy in candy format? it seems to me that candy toys have always been cheaper versions of something already available (like my JRX Train from Transformers2K Carrobot, etc)...maybe a with-screw type WILL come out?
