So has everyone here who wants an SDCC/TRU MP Soundwave get one yet? I was on vacation last week (San Francisco/Sacramento trip) and tried a few TRU stores since I had a couple of 15% off coupons but I couldn't find any.....not even Acid Storm I spotted 3 MP SW and a big bunch of MP Acid Storm in a TRU in Monroe, NY and also a bunch of both in TRU Times Square, NY during a trip this past weekend. Couldn't bring myself to buy either since I had already pre-ordered them in Canada, plus the retail price was higher than Canada after exchange. Just hoping the pre-orders in Canada are shipped soon. I was drooling over the boxes while in TRU. A little late, but thank Chen for the headsup on the Canada pre-orders.

Hi zankantou, you mentioned a lot of toy stores in HK where not to go, can you mention places where people SHOULD go?

Awesome transformation. There looks to be at least 1 part removal needed for the combination: the feet of the blue robot (legs of Daioja) has to be removed to form Daioja. It's attached using a small ball joint, hopefully it won't wear out from repeated separation and attachment. I don't see where it's being removed? It's in all the pictures - it's part of the hip assembly of the fully combined robot. I couldn't see it looking at the technical drawings. When I look at the pictures, the side hips don't look like the feet of the robot but rather the rotated shoulder of the other robot.

Not sure if you noticed, but #1009 is from GFFMC line which is 1/100 scale and made of metal and hard plastic. #0004 is from the GFF line which is 1/144 scale and made mostly of softer pvc. A proper comparison to the #1009 would be the #1001 from the same GFFMC line. The #1001 GFFMC is the non-origin ver.ka with the G-fighter in 1/100 scale and made with high quality materials. It won't be as posable as the #1009 but it has the G-fighter to play with. Hi! Thanks so much for the info Well, I have been looking through these RX-78 Fix Figuration figures all day online, and now I think I gotta chose between either #1009 RX78-2 GUNDAM [The Origin] or #0004 G-ARMOR [RX-78-2+G-FIGHTER]. I know that #1009 is a better quality and newer figure...but if I ask how good/bad is #0004...what would you say?Again, thanks for your patience with me...I truly appreciate your time helping me. Vs.

no, old people have no soul or appeal, everyone knows that! ;D so people like them because they are cute and because of the srw games then? I dont understand why srw was made as an sd game to begin with anyway. and having cute looking anime robots? why? dont you think that these sd characters would be better if they had been released in normal proportions at the same prize and looks as the sd? yes they were released in soc and cm normal versions, but if fewture had released normal versions with the detail and quality of these sd ones, they would have rocked even more than the bandai or cm ones I think. please, Im not saying these sd figures suck, Im just wishing they were normal design instead of sd because I like the normal size better and Im thinking they would be great. not trying to fight here. I don't think Fewture could release this size of gokin toy, with these combining/transforming functions and articulation, at their asking price using normal proportions as you suggest. At this toy size at normal proportions, the body and limbs would be so thin that it would be extremely difficult, even impossible to execute the combining/transforming functions of some of these robots. Personally I think Fewture hit a home run with this line. The combining/transforming functions are true to original in a look that is both cute and can be bent to accomodate the combining/transforming functions without being told it's not anime or line-art accurate. The price is also lower than SOC's. Most of the releases have been sold out clean. Too bad this line doesn't appeal to you, but I doubt Fewture intended this line to appeal to everyone.

Can anyone tell me what is the difference between steps 8 and 9 in the final transformation page?
I know from above comments above the difference between steps 9 and 10 are the change to bigger head and added shoulder covers.
Thanks.

I just found this link on HLJ for another Revoltech Chronicle, two summers back the previous Revo Chronicle came with the EVA 03. www.hlj.com/product/WPP52858I'll bet it will be the Daimajin or Vash that comes with that. Depends on your school of thought as to which one it will be, Daimajin would make more sense from a production (less accessories, parts and joints) standpoint, but Vash would be 1) another Yamaguchi sculpt and 2) more popular overall and 3) probably the most detailed and articulated (showcase) figure of the group. I'm hoping for Vash, since I have the regular Daimajin and don't want a B&W (gray) version but I do want the Chronicle, Vash, and Getter... The new Chronicle will come with the clear purple version of EVA-01 #100. www.amiami.jp/shop/?set=english&vgForm=ProductInfo&sku=BOK-3529&template=default/product/e_display.htmlI would have hoped it was Getter or Vash recolors.

Well, may be you guys are right. It dosen't make sense to list robots for sale at RJ forum and only deal locally. But I will give it a try for one more week. Anyway I am no rush to sell them. Hey, I am in T.O. where are your list of robots? I hope the list and prices are attractive. Thanks.

GFFN is the same size as "regular" GFF, both are 1/144. GFF stopped at #0040, #0041 onwards are GFFN. GFF Metal Composite are larger 1/100 size except for the Psycho Gundams which are large sized but in 1/144 scale.

Positive feedback, two thumbs up for Rob from a satisfied buyer.
Don't hesitate to deal with him. Complete and clear communication throughout with the transaction completed without any problems whatsoever.
Wish I had more funds to grab more goodies from Rob. Until next time.....
Highly recommended. Thanks again.

Looking at the latest pics, it appears to have a inner "stick" frame that has high range of articulation, then there is another layer that is the inner mechanical frame. finally the armor our skin that is separated into many pieces along panel lines. The torso can use the articulated frame or replace with the core fighter. The chest vent blades look to be photo etch like material. Add all those together, looks to be a very detailed model in a small 1/144 size. I don't think this will replace the HG or HGUC line (which just expanded to HGAW and HGFC lines versions) since this RG is much too detailed to have regular releases like HG or HGUC. I guess the next RG could be the Zaku, then Bandai can make numerous versions out of the RX-78 and Zaku base design. I can't wait to see the release photos and instructions. I will have to add this one to my collection. ngeekhiong.blogspot.com/2010/05/rg-1144-gundam-rx-78-2-new-images.html

Another Daitarn 3 entering the country with a $28 customs bill. Similar to what other owners mentioned: Some of my pluses for this toy include: tall and heavy quite posable (great hip, knee and ankles) mach patrol 3 way transformation individually movable fingers telescoping cannon nice collection of weapons covered screw holes 2 exchangable faces Some of my minuses for this toy include: finicky and tiny treads that don't do much only 90 degree bending of elbows 2 sets of arm covers/backpack (could have used just one if owner didn't want to parts swap, similar to Daimos) weak/cheap feeling rear landing gear (couldn't Bandai design a retractable one into the legs?) The pluses out number the minuses and my Zambot 3 needed his compatriot, so I don't regret adding Daitarn to my collection. It's just not on the top my SOC list. The product and shipping discount at amiami is certainly a thumbs up for me this time, but thumbs down for the customs bill... booo.
