Actually, since he said part of it is blue, I am thinking it is Daioja.

Looks good baron. I don't like the proportions of the kit form maz that they chose overall though. He looks a little "heavy". The kingdan though - oh man what a great sculpt even for a magnet based toy, and his paint job you did came out amazing. Major props!!!!

First of all, this is not HLPro's forum. We could just pull the pics, posts, and quoted that are "affected" rather than shut the thread down. I think that's a little extreme.
If the images were leaked or stolen, then HLPro has a right to control them, but if these are publicly available on their facebook page, I don't see what ground they have to stand on. Are they posted on any other forum on other websites?
On other forums, when material that shouldn't be posted is asked to be pulled, it is usually removed or edited in the specific post(s), if it's in a thread that has already started, like this one.
The only time I have ever seen complete threads deleted on other forums is if a new topic started with the particular material from the first post onward.
Does that make sense to everyone?
And as I said before, you guys all have valid points, but you all go from talking about the figure, to turning up the heat, cooling down, and then right back to the heat again. After one gripe reaches an agreeable point among all, another sets someone off, or it's taken out of context the wrong way. I'm sorry, but that's not facilitated discussion. We haven't gone too far overboard, but let's keep it civil. The point is that this thread is a great resource for these items in the past, now, and in the future. I'd rather not see it go away.

This character has a strange face... Reminds me more a Gobots than a TF... Yes, it's the same face as the original diaclone release, just with a little more detail. Very much the "robotic" look/style for that period of time. It's so different, and I have always like it because of that.

Everyone has valid points here, but I think you all are reading too much into each other's comments - you can still all voice your opinions but you've got to take everything said as personal preference, particular taste, and difference of opinion. The only suitable time for full blown arguments and flame wars is if a toy is utter crap all around.

Why can't they make a voltron face that fills out the full length and width of the lion mouth?!?! There's no need for that space. The upcoming jumbo voltron has the same problem but is too short horizontally instead of vertically.

If it makes you feel any better I bought a dead stock unused POPY DX GodMarz, last year, for less than you just got that one for.
And the crazy part is I paid double the price of the unused one to get a rough MIB one to actually play with. LoL

Man, one of the few things I care to buy at the moment (and for a reasonable price as well) and it gets delayed again.

My 10 year old daunter is gonna take it to school for show and tell. The only thing that worries me is her losing the hands. There's no harm in sending her without the hands. She could always say "they are really small and we didn't want to lose them". Otherwise, I suggest giving her a sturdy little cardboard box with some bible wrap and you can put hello kitty and the fists in a ziplock bag for her. Put everything in the box and she's all set.

Not buying, but I PMd you. Good luck with sale. You can always come back to the game, taking care of life stuff is the first priority.

Did anyone we know get this?
I want to buy one but have seen no reviews (I know it's small) and it looks like this was reissued (ET added a second production run due to demand?), and a few places still have stock of the reissue.
Any comments on quality and if the reissue was any different/improved?

That sucks man. I sold my extra mint godaikin daltanias privately to a known Japanese collector (so he could display and leave his unused popy unused) for 500 before shipping.
610 would have been a great deal on your piece if the guy wasn't a scumbag looking to flip it. Moron filed the claim before even receiving the item. You got lucky with the claim.

It's supposed to be emitting the retro sofubi vibe, hence the proportions. To bad Medicom isn't shipping internationally on these guys. One would spend upwards of $500-1K ea for the standard sized Bandai Robocon sofubi 3-5 years ago. Only Warren Schwartz has a full set as far as I know. It will be nice to have a set at this size at a price this reasonable.. Erik, I don't mind the retro vibe at all, but it's that flat back and the big hands that are tough for me to see past. Even the "articulated" neck is not too bad, but I just thought it would straight up have a more pure oval shape overall. Believe me, I would kill for a really great vinyl that mimicked the design of the diecast more, maybe with a little bit of the TV costume style thrown in. If it was 16-20 inches this would be awesome.

From collectiondx: www.collectiondx.com/news_item/9214/ganbare_robocon_240mm_vinylIt will be about a foot tall. Looks good, I wish the back wasn't so flat looking, he looks like he is missing curves in some spots. I also wish it had a helicopter blade to swap with the steering wheel. The robocon vinyls (both old and modern), in my eyes, don't always do the character justice like the die cast pieces do. I don't know why the vinyls of him always end up looking crappy to some degree. What do you guys think?

I like the very first one (that was also reissued) (the black gorilla mode that you see in the first season of beast wars).
My personal favorite is the small first transmetal Optimus (not the big electronic ones) because his leg parts turn into a hoverboard with rocket booster! (Think back to the future 2 but with robots). The only thing you have to be careful with are the tabs on the ape head. The head is meant to fold in toward his back when you change to robot (the pivot point is on the front chest so you fold it away from you), not up toward you.
Both of these molds are inexpensive for new sealed toys and very kid friendly. They are also a good size for each and offer great play value.
The later big optimal Optimus from transmetals and the other giant ape air attack Optimus or something or other (my brother owns them both) are just too big and complex.

Finally got me one of the Toys Hunter exclusives! The best part, Grendizer is FLAWLESS! Not sure about the Spacer doors yet, since I just got it today and haven't really messed with it... }D TMZ, what was the difference with this edition? Different color variation?

It really nice, but for a vinyl I wish it was 16 inches instead of 8.
