Oh wow! I was actually able to pick one up locally for about 21000 yen, so I think I lucked out. It's a great figure, although i'm tempted by the new Pose+ version that's on its way. Isn't the Pose+ Genesic GaoGaiGar, which is a different robot, sort of. GaoGaiGar (using the SRC as examples) Genesic GaoGaiGar

There's an extra 20% off on these now. Great deal if you get one that only has box damage. Thanks for the heads up. It ended up being $258 shipped. I'll let you guys know how it turns out. That's a good deal. You should be okay. I've sniped the occasional Amazon Damage box deal because I'm not a box collector. As long as it's intact enough to hold the accessories I'm fine. And Amazon's return policies on the warehouse deals are generally no questions asked. Pretty much everything I've gotten has been fine.

COME ON ! or
if they do these two, i will lost it Yeah holy sh*t, this is getting ridiculous. I can’t believe not a single company has tried for Bismarck, especially with its international recognition as Ramrod. I would be all in for a Bismarck/Ramrod. I’m not sure what the second robot is? It looks like a Gundam that someone recolored?

Man I hope they do a Laserion... The Evolution Toy is a hot mess. While ET is not exactly known for their stunning engineering, I kind of suspect that a tremendous amount of the hot mess of Laserion stems from the root robots on screen designs, which are a hot mess at their core.

It somehow seems weird seeing a Gold Lightan that's that big. I'm so used to him always being the more traditional lighter size.

Wonder if bandai will ever do a black version release of this guy 😛 Other than Daizyujin I can't think of many other recent "Black" recolor releases they've done? Maybe that black and silver Batman'esque Maz Z? But they seem a lot less prone to make them lately.

To say Wotafa is enthusiastic about the figure is an understatement. I weirdly feel like I should shower after watching that video. Like the difference between a man who loves toy robots and a man who is deeply physically in love with toy robots, if you get my drift. But I goota say the size and the finish on this thing look samazing. I wish I had pre-ordered one.

Just figured I would drop this here for those trying to figure out Baxinger
While we are at it Go Shogun
and Braiger
Would it be safe to bet that Pose+ have plans for a Baldios and Acrobunch as well?

Thanks KumaStyle. And yeah hard pass. At least at the current price. I love the size of it. The stylized look I can take or leave, and mostly leave the chestplate. But the problems you have experienced. Not for something well north of $300-400+ usd. $500 with shipping. Also, am I the only one annoyed that the Mack Drills both spin in the same direction?

As others pointed out, it depends what you mean by "tax". E-Bay will hit you for your state or localities sales tax. But there are no import duties for stuff brought into the US. And shipping from Hong Kong to the US remains the cheapest shipping fees on the planet.

So when do you guys see this releasing? We haven't seen actual prototype pics yet. So I'm thinking Q1 2021.

I remain confused as to why they are doing a super articulated FA of a robot that was deliberately chunky, clunky and very stiff moving on screen. On screen Ideon moved like Frankenstein. I just don't see what the FA line brings to the character. What we really need is a new release of GX-36, but with the fatal shoulder flaw re-engineered and fixed. Can't agree more. While I got lucky with shoulders still intact, GX-36 Ideon can use a new strong ratchet hip that can withstand its own weight instead of flopping around like a ragdoll. Not sure if Bandai really think it through which bot 'needs' the FA treatment. But rather which they can make to make money due to the bot's popularity. I hate to be the bearer of bad news. But no you didn't get lucky with having intact GX-36 Shoulders. It just means those plastic bushings hadn't split YET on yours, the last time you looked. It will happen. There is nothing you can do to prevent it. It isn't caused by movement or anything you do. The stress is from a too large metal pin going through a too small hole in a plastic bushing. The bushing will eventually split from the stress. Even if just left the robot mint in box.

Not having followed this debate too closely, I can probably still answer that question. If the Sen-Ti-Nel stuff isn't instantly selling out, and you can actually get it at retail, more often than not it means that they have increased production numbers and distribution network. Not decreased sales. Most retailers actually like a little bit of overproduction, such that they can actually have product on shelves when a customer asks. While something selling out from pre-orders alone is seemingly great for the manufacturer, it is horrible for the retailer because they end up with demand that they are unable to fill. Which pisses customers off and drives them elsewhere. Sentinels increased availability most likely more corresponds to them moving out of an extremely select niche market and moving a bit more into a broader market. We've seen some other signs of this, such as some Sentinel products showing up on the shelves in US Thinkgeek Mall stores (Gamestops nerd merch chain of stores)
thank you for your point of view
there is no debate here, there is facts vs emotions
some times you get it even on lower price than the retail, the way i see maybe some people canceled their preorder for whatever reason
at the end their market share is still among the lowest, and only some of the hardcore fans will go after their already available figures (im not talking about figures that no one did before)
a tiny comparison ?
how many people own the GX-76 vs how many people own Sentinel Grendizer ? check the threads to find out
Sentinel is still a smaller producer. And has nowhere near the marketshare of robot toys that Bandai or Takara have. But they are expending beyond the ultra niche collector market that they have had up until this point and starting to become more widely known. Up until recently the only way to get a Sentinel product was to be aware of it and pre-order it months if not a year in advance. With a very narrow window until the limited production sold out. That's a great model for a small specialty company catering to it's narrow dedicated fanbase. But there's not a huge amount of growth there. Getting some durable presence on retail shelves such that their product is more widely available is needed to grow beyond that highly specialized niche market. Like I said in the US they have been starting to sporadically show up at the GAmestop specialty chain Thinkgeek, and I've seen some at Hobbytown USA stores (although they are franchised so it may be individual owners importing them). Personally I think it remains to be seen how well Sentinel is able to achieve that spreading market penetration. From what I have seen they have mainly been getting the wrong products in the wron places, and they are horribly overpriced at storefront retail. For example ThinkGeek has the Tatsunoko Heroes Action figures, in US stores. At $80-100. While they are fantastic, they aren't subjects that American's have a huge familiarity with beyond G1 and maybe Tekkaman Blade (for the weebs) the others look kinda lonely standing next to Sailor Moon and My Hero Academia. If Sentinel had been able to put the Mospeada Ride Armor ther einstead it would have done much better (yeah yeah I know the evil that is Harmony Gold).

They aren't losing customers and in fact their fanbase has grown exponentially over the years.
if thats so then how come some of their recent releases are still wildly available with the a close (or lower) price to the preorder ?
even if they have a growing fan base i think their market share is between %2 to %3 just like ET

Tiny little thing. Are those actual pictures? Because they almost look like 3d renders?

In the last picture, what’s the truck thing? I recognize all the arms as the old Jumbo Machinder/Shogun Warrior arms. But I can’t place the truck?

What didnt you like about God Sigma and Giant Robo? They are two of my favorite SRC. I ask because Im genuinely want to know what Bandai can improve on. Ill be the first to admit they both should have been bigger... Also Giant Robo def needed more metal . And now GR developed the dreded loose hip joint... God Sigma is delightfully detailed with great articulation. But it is Tiny. With almost no metal. At $90 MSRP. Giant Robo instead of painting it the appropriate Battleship Blue Grey, used the horrible pearlescent swirly blue sparkly plastic that makes it look horrible. Especially for the price. $120 MSRP gah! I think we can agree the Jeep is abominable.

Started as less then $50, then got up to around $120 before the line died. Only slightly cheaper then superior SOC? Didnt make much sense its existance with that kind of MSRP... the whole marketing point of SRC was a affordable diecast... At least most of the SRC's that hit that price point (before the three above mentioned awful ones) were about the same weight and size of some smaller SOC's. I mean Mazinkaiser and Mazin Emperor are larger and heavier than GX-01 and 2.
