Really excited about this. It's my favourite line and its growing quickly, although I'm interested just in the gundam stuff and mostly UC, I hope to see something that will blow me away at this exhibition. Hopefully we will see the prototypes for the next 6 or 8 month... Same here, though I really excited for non-Gundam stuff as well. With the X2 on its way, the only MB prototypes that have yet to be released are the Infinity from Mazinger, Astray Blue Frame 2ndL, and the Arm Slave Booster Pack, all of which I hope do come out, but if they don't show up here, it wouldn't be a huge loss. As I said in the main Metal Build thread, I think it'd be interesting to see androids and characters like Iron Man get the MB treatment even though they arent giant robots. I definitley think Tamashii could give Hot Toys and Sentinel some heavy competition in that area. Also, moderizing more classic bots would be cool, maybe giving combiners the FA treatment? Or maybe going for MB combiners for more modern mecha. The show being called "Infinity" would seem to indicate Tamashii's willingness to branch off into new areas with the line, so I'm really looking forward to what that will be. I secretly hoped one day metal builds would do iron Man and war machine! I think they would do an awesome job with them. But I honestly don't think they will because they aren't big mechas.

I've been wanting to pick up the Metal Build Qan[T] but the initial reaction worried me. Does anyone here have it & how does it hold up after a year? I've had it since release and have reposed it quite a bit, joints are still nice and sturdy, not loose, gimmicks still work great, just have to handle it carefully and all is good, I personally think this Qan[T] is the best of them all, just because of the gimmicks and look. Initially the photos of that Qan[T] with the broken shoulder did worry me, but its definitely a great piece in my collection. Just handle it with care, which I do for all of the metal builds I own. Oh yeah the one downfall I did have was that the clear ring the holds the gn bits broke at one of the sockets.

Someone explain to me what the difference is between GFFMC and Metal Build. First let me state- I have a bunch of both lines, almost the entire lineup except a handful of figures. I used to think GFFMC was more Katoki inspired and of UC continuity and METAL BUILD was all the non-UC, mostly SEED and 00, but F91 and the Wing Gundam has thrown that rule out the window. So now what is the distinction between the 2 lines? If you compare the two lines I would say MB is more of the action figure whilst GFFMC is more of a display piece. Its abit more obvious if you compare the two lines before Wing Zero Custom got released. The only thing that makes Wing Zero GFFMC is probably due to all its tampo marking as its build seems closer to a MB than the older GFFMC releases. Idk if I'm wrong but I'm sure I remember the gffmc wing zero being designed and made by both gffmc and metal build. I'm sure it was Gffmc featuring metal build.

Has anyone ever ordered from plazajapan.com? I have. Often great prices. Decent shipping speed. Thanks for the info, sadly after posting my question on here, it's now out of stock, must have only been one left that someone cancelled maybe.

Anyone know if contacting bandai's customer service would be useful to request replacement parts for metal builds? If they even do that. I accidentally dropped my aile strike and parts of the head broke 😓

I, being the weird one, am not a fan of any X pirate Gundam, so most likely it's a blessing for my wallet XD Glad it is finally coming as I know it's a huge fan favor. I like the crossbones because they are small-sized and that's good new for my shelf (in fact the real reason is I like Seaweed Arnold and his cousin Seabook Arno) Since they are small size that means crossbone will be the same size as f91?

Has anyone had severe issues with the clear plastic bits on the QanT? I don’t know what the hell is going on but I just tried to attach all of the bits to the ring, and half of the clear adapters broke in various places, and the ring itself snapped when i connected it to the plastic peg. I swear I am not the hulk. Anyways now I’m even more furious at this figure and its wonderful lack of warranty. yeah, I had the peg sockets break when I was putting it away and taking off the slits for the gn bits.

I'm wondering if Sentinel got some early production drawings for the Mazinger movie before anyone else and purposely designed a Mazinkaiser in sorta the same design theme. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me. It matches up well enough to make absolute sense. All Metal Builds have been about 18cm so it's no surprise there. Gives room for a larger Great Mazinger. I've owned about every MB ever so I'm aware of the general size but it's because of the 1/100 scale of the line. With this being a different franchise and a larger mecha in general I expected it to fall in line with the scale of the toyline vs. the height of previously released toys. Metal build line is non-scale, but technically 1/100.

I personally think bandai should make enemy mobile suits from both 00 and seed since we have main character mobile suits, also ally mobile suits like the rest of the gundam meisters from 00. I think this because it would be awesome to pose them fighting thus, beam rifle effects and other effects would be great for an awesome display.

PLEASE YES!! ANY ZEON!! Or TALLGEESE! Actually, I'd really love a GURREN LAGANN in the Metal Build line.. I think they could do something really cool with that design. YES! Gurren Lagann would be awesome. Yes, Gurren Lagann would be amazing.
