Sorry if this has been discussed before but I just bought the Missing Link Prime from HLJ for 18,000 yen shipped (which is roughly $120 US). Got the payment confirmation email and everything. Then I get charged $145 US from their payment vendor "WithReach". I emailed customer service and got this response:
HLJ processes everything in JPY, so invoices in other currencies are processed by our payment processing company, Reach. Reach uses their own currency rates separate from ones you may see on Google, especially considering most currency exchange services include a handling fee.
This is odd. I've used HLJ for years and never had this issue. Got an order from Hobby Search just the week before with no problem.

The metal action stuff has been pretty great if you like no frills heavy bricks of die-cast. Has a definite old school feel to it, before people were obsessed with articulation and perfect paint apps. Price is right too.

Just got this. I'm not usually impressed with LEDs much but this one really looks nice lit up. Reminds me of the GX-77 Gipsy Danger. They may have actually used the same internal electronics. Not a lot of die-cast here either, but these days SOC's are all getting pretty light on the Chogokin. In my opinion, my Aoshima Kiryu model kit looks better and has a ton more articulation. Of course you have to build that one though. This is a pretty solid release but you may want to wait for a sale in my opinion.

Wait, am I getting this confused with the Sky X release? Is this a completely different Kaiser? Am I just a confused old man that can't keep up with toy releases anymore?? Seems to be the case.

Not sure why people are saying this is overly expensive. Its $319 at BBTS for a 10.5 inch 2lb Kaiser. Seems reasonable to me. Not much more that the GX-75.

The only thing I like about this is the logos they've made for the 50th. Otherwise, total cash grab.

Yeah, if they include a little drippy nose guy I’ll have a hard time saying no.

Could be that this is just what you get for $300 when dealing with Voltron these days. A combiner that is expensive to license to begin with.

Prices are getting out of hand as we all know. I for one, am getting a bit tired of LED gimmicks. Its seems lazy and as collectors, don't we just watch it light up once and take the batteries out and never bother with it again?

Nice. This is the review I’ve been waiting for.

King Arts seems to be pretty polarizing. People either love them or hate them. I don't own any, but I think they always look fantastic. Its only after release when I start to see reviews complaining about no die-cast, floppy joints and fiddly parts. I'll be watching this one as well.

Still gotta add in almost another $200 to ship it but yeah, stock is pretty abundant on this. I think a lot of people just don't have space for something this large. Not a great test of waters for a DX Grendizer. Though, I suspect Grendizer is far more popular than Gaiking. Who knows...

Yeah, it says it does in the description. I'm surprised the old school gimmicks are making a comeback.

I am curious as to how they are doing the rocket punch gimmick with no swapping parts. So far the promo pics dont seem to show any firing mechanism. By the way, sold out already at HLJ. No wonder they keep making Mazingers. They sell.

I think it's a safe bet that this thing will be on clearance and bargain bins by the end of the year.

Yeah, well I did cancel with Eknight. Couldn't shake it and saw a deal on Amazon Japan. It's a true addiction sometimes!
