LOL I'm screwed just like you bro, only difference is that I live near the largest Chinatown in the world, ahem short of China itself. And therefore I have access to a large library of Boot Ahem legged DVD's...There's always eBay.

I'm with you, tho, dub it or even sub it and sell it licensed as it is...BTW, they have done this for Kamen Rider V3. It will probably hard to get the Sentai since disney owns the license here in the States. BTW, Wild Force was the last thing that Saban did and Disney started the carnage shortly after.

i thot Saban was over as of IN SPACE, and Disney took it after that. and that is also why it is not ONGOING, but rather every year is completely seperated from the previous, unlike the first years of MMPR/TuRBO/ZEO/INSPACE (all being continuous of each other)

I saw it on Wiki that their last series was Wildforce, in any case, Disney has done quite a bang up job destroying the original shows to a point that even Haim Saban will shed a tear, watching. SPD is the best example, that yes Disney can screw something up as well.

really? SPD is the first series i watched...and ENJOYED all the way thru. i dunno why, especially since he NEVER used a sword, and i don't like the toys much.
that's why i figure that OO will be good, because i HATE the toys.

I'll tell you why nobody wants to dub a Japanese show into English for the mass market... because IT WILL FAIL. Let's be realistic - we members are members of an elite group - a very SMALL group - so small that we would not be able to support a mass-market product on our own. Big companies make their bread and butter selling their products to little kids, not to us.
America is STILL very ethnocentric and will resist "foreign" products. American kids will mostly prefer domestic products (and a lot of them probably don't even know where anime comes from). Dub anime may be growing, but only because there are niche markets that can support it. Who's the biggest anime distributor in North America? It's probably ADV-Films.... but compare ADV to Disney. 'nuff said.
Want to know what would happen if a big company dubs a Japanese tokusatsu show? Just refer to Ultraman Tiga from a few years ago. It got itself cancelled after only 20-some episodes - and that was even after Fox tweaked it to make it a little more kid-friendly (plots simplified, more jokes, etc).
And btw, yes Wikipedia is correct, for a change. Saban had PR right up until WildForce, which is why they were able to put together the "Forever Red" team-up episode. Fans were pleasantly surprised when the Disney-produced series Dino-Thunder acknowledged the 500th show anniversary with a dedication and a flashback-episode.

SPD is ok, my kid enjoyed it a lot. I watched it and it was ok, like I said, but it always seemed something is missing while watching it. Then I saw Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger and it made sense what was missing. The Disney version tried to stay as faithful to the original as much as Disney can, but the change of actors the weak tie-ins, etc. just did not do Dekaranger any "justice". I say PR: SPD has been authorized to be deleted! It is like most Power Rangers it tries to inflict American values or correctness in the show which was a formula waiting to fail.
About being ethnocentric, well, I am going to disagree with you with this one. Two examples of Americas openness to accept none American ideas; Nintendo Wii, DS, etc. Sony Playstation 3, 2, One, PSP. There are tons of Japanese translated games that run on all these systems and both kids and adults accept them and assimilate them in the melting pot rather well. Yogiuoh, Full Metal Alchemist and Cowboy Bebop and Transformers have found their way in our mainstream popculture.
"Foreign" things are all abound that foreign things are ubiquitous. I will admit that we are in class on our own, after all who would spend >$600 on a robot toy and say the PS3 is too expensive.
