lol, ok we'll keep the champagne on ice for now, but I'd still like to take it as a nod of approval for the upturn in activity in this section

I say keep posting informational stuff, as you always have, we are bound to be noticed very soon. Hopefully the contents of this board is index searchable via Web search engines, so when collectors start looking for information on Tokusatsu items our entries will show up and we will get new friends and members.
The power of BBS's is not to be overlooked. When I was part of a Celica board and we discovered that there was a flaw on the 7th generation Celica GTS or the 2ZZGE with the synchro locks that doesn't prevent you from shifting from very high gears like 5th or 6th to 2nd instead of 4th or 5th consequentially over revving the motor and blowing it, our members hit up Toyota and Toyota bought the ones affected new engines, well they only agreed to buy the first one. Albeit they never changed the transmission. But they were persuaded by the power of a board that has over 12,000 members.

Yep, we're searchable. I googled Popy 3 3/4" Ultraman the other day in the hope of finding more info, guess what tops the list?

Of course, we're searchable... Almost Anything robot-toy-related, in my Yahoo-search engine, always turns up RJ threads. I Google for stuff, RJ threads show up there as well.
BTW, not to go off-topic a lil bit: if you see me postin sporatic comment throughout the boards (hopefully Posts RELATED to topics, whether Humorous or Serious), it's because I'm gettin bored stayin indoors- especially Today, with the blizzard in my area- Cabin Fever's startin to sink in. ...it Hasn't stopped snowin since last night.
Now, back on-topic.

Yeah, We hear you. Your side of the country has been really blasted. But, are you a transplant? We (co-workers and I ) have noticed that the "natives" are so used to the madness of the weather that they hardly ever mention it, if at all. Not that I can imagine anyone getting used to 110" of snow with more to come. It is 67 degrees with a little bit of cloud cover, here in San Francisco.

And what a beautiful day it was. We walked down Chestnut and the honeys were everywhere! A little bit of sun and the Marina girls wear less. Nice to see your names next to the moderator list. I noticed it the other day so I figured you would have slapped this place into shape by now. j/k

We are trying to get Admin1 to get us the proper rights in order to get things ironed out and start making things all prim and proper. He agreed to change the name, but as we have all noticed that has not been done yet. Carlo and I don't have the key to executive lounge, yet.
I need to fix my boo boo with the Den-O thread. Make some stickies, etc. Gort, you don't mind if your 3 3/4 thread becomes a sticky would you? I think since we are the first hit on Google for that search it would be nice to have it in front.
Dylan, you ain't kidding. I'm on California at Kearney and even the conservative bankers type babes have aced the pant suits and suit for a short skirt and a sheer top! Skin!

(Sorry, my bad. Let's try not to stray off-topic ) I've been spoiled from traveling and residing in fair-weather climates like Los Angeles and Puerto Rico during my youth years from my teens thru my 30s. I Should be used to the cold weather; after all, I was born/raised in NYC. But here in upstate NY, Winter is a more brutal ballgame... I'm stuck between the finger-lakes region, and the Canadian border towns of Northern NY. In my immediate area of the "city" of Cohoes, I live on a higher elevation above the rest of the Capital region surrounding local cities. Up to now, we've had a very mild winter this year and last. Now, we're payin for it with this blizzard from the mid-west, and cold arctic air mass from the north, combined. Towns north of me got it much worse. zozo-Magengar Yeah, We hear you. Well, it seems this topic has been making some progress. The "Sticky" idea is good... it will attract outside Toku fans to this site, and garner the support needed- thus encouraging more discussions for the Toku genre, and exposing new fans to this.

BTW, Sketch, LOL (tongue in cheek) heck yeah brutha, this forum will breath new life, this one is already no longer the forum with the least amount of posts! LOL Guys, thank you and keep up the good work. Let's get tokusatsu going.
I would like those who voted for the name change to vote on what the name should be.
I think we had a couple of suggestions.
How does: Sentai/Tokusatsu/Sci-Fi/ toys sound? Please suggest one better. I just want to come to Ed with something final and cool! LOL

Something that can easily be Identifiable, Contageous, rolls off the toungue easily, and strikes instant recognition in people's minds when they browse the internet... ...in much similar effect "Robot-Japan" has had all these years. Mention "RJ" on the net, and Everyone who is a fan instantly recognizes RJ... ...We'd want the new name to have that same effect, if not Better. zozo-Magengar

I think something like "Super Sentai / Tokusatsu" with a subtitle along the lines of "Discuss Sentai/Power Rangers, Ultraman, Kamen/Masked Rider and other Japanese Live Action Sci- Fi" I think that would cover the more well know names (maybe Godzilla as well?). I know the Power Rangers part of the title has been something of a turn off to some people, but people new to the hobby may still like to see a familier name so it could be worth keeping it in the main title (Tokusatsu / Super Senati / Power Rangers ?) I need to fix my boo boo with the Den-O thread. Make some stickies, etc. Gort, you don't mind if your 3 3/4 thread becomes a sticky would you? I think since we are the first hit on Google for that search it would be nice to have it in front. Sounds good to me, hopefully someone will see it who can fill in the gaps.

Shaider actually becomes Ryan Steel's new suit after getting a beat down in the Metalder outfit gets destroyed. Shaider was still the leader. TROOPER TRANSFORM!

Thanks for the info, newtypezeta. I imagine they ran out of footage from Metalder as it only ran for one season. Either that or it was just a cynical marketing ploy to sell more toys
