Guys, Now that Kabuto is done, what hopes do you have for Den-O. What did you enjoy from Kabuto, things you hated?
Kabuto's ending was predictable and disappointing, but I still enjoyed it. The armor was cool, one of my favorites amongst the new KR. Punch and Kick Hopper was useless. Den-O looks real cool. LOL ;D ;D ;D

Disappointing? Well, I'll see for myself. I only started watching it recently (but I have been downloading them as TV-Nihon has been releasing their fansubs) so I'm slowly catching up. So far, I have the same reaction to Kabuto as I've had to most previous riders... they've all be jerks! For once, I'd like to see a main character become a Rider and be actually likeable so that I could cheer for him with a clear conscience! Anyway, yes, I like the suits in Kabuto too. (Of the recent designs, I have a preference for the Faiz suit). The "cast-off" idea is kind of neat and in general a lot of the FX ideas are generally very well executed...

Ben: Watch Blade, Hibiki, Agito, and Kuuga for really likeable main Riders. Blade and Agito are two of my favorite series, too.
Say what you want about Kabuto's ending, at least it was an ending, unlike, say, Faiz... I mean, I loved that series, but could they *not* end the series any harder than that?

Well, the main character, Tendou Soji is a pompus arrogant SOB, but it is intentional for the fact that he is walking the path for enlightenment, read: bigger and better things. The beginning of the show is actually OK, not quit Faiz, but interesting nonetheless, of course the armor looks real cool, clock up as you said is nice, hyper clock up will be cool as well, but the story just falls flat towards the end, no big surprises, no mind boggling stuff, in a word very nondescript.

Ayaholic, I'm with you Faiz could have ended better, but so could have Kabuto and many of the new gen KR. I guess gone are the days of Riderman sacrificing himself for Japan (albeit being ressurrected later in another show. But anyway, actually the Faiz did do a good job of the dark hero finally coming to grips and get redemption, yeah it is not at the end, but close enough?

Hey guys - I know I'm way behind on the discussion (almost a whole month!) but I waited for the final episode to be done by #TV-Nihon. I actually liked the ending for Kabuto - if only because the good guys don't die! Unlike both Faiz and Blade where you just sort of end on a "wait - wha?" feeling regarding the main heroes. I wish they'd have explained the whole time-travel thing though. I was under the impression that perhaps Tendo would've fought himself in the far future (the "Dark Kabuto") for the Hyper Kabuto Zecter... (they hinted at this when we thought the Hyper Zecter was destroyed and then suddenly reappears in front of Tendo a second later)... but that never happened! Instead we got a sort of twisted time-travel paradox where the double eventually got captured by ZECT ...was he a replacement for our Tendo who was used to develop the Zecters? Lots of unanswered questions were left. We can only assume that Tendo will continue to be Kabuto until a point where he can time travel back into the past (hence the Hyper Kabuto who kept appearing earlier on). My other issues with the series in general... boy did the whole thing mutate over time. Kagami was so annoying at the beginning (and continued to be until he became Gattack)... then suddenly he was this total-bad-@$$ (except when he not in Rider form). Also, the FX I liked so much in the beginning shows up less and less (the final episodes didn't even have any clock-ups). On the other hand Tendo remained a jerk throughout... that was at least consistent...

Ben,
Go watch the GSL movie. It kinda gets into the time traveling and you can figure out from there how time travel works with the Zecters. But the writers apparently have stated that GSL has nothing to do with the actual show, which is unfortunate, since it explains how Tendou received the Mask Rider System even though he was not part of Zect.
I fell you on Faiz, I was totally mad when they got rid of the Crane Orphonoch, she was hot. I haven't seen Blade, yet, but I guess I can look forward in seeing some good guys dying! LOL ;P
SPOLIER WARNING
If you did not like good guys dying, GSL will upset you. LOL

I agree with you that Hibiki was different and it was too different for my taste so I did not like it as well.
