Thanks Mayita! Wish you can post the recasting tutorial and maybe some sculpting tutorials too? It really is quite informative and very helpful.

Thanks boyet! ;D
That would be possible but the joints that allows the transformation may be a bit tricky for them to build. I use discarded empty ink holders from pens for axles. But otherwise everything else is cardboard.
A fixed model would be easier but not much fun.

Hey man, How's about creating a cardboard "big Falcon" for you voltes v. Then you can refine it and sell copies of it to us RJs make some $$$ on the side cause I know alot of us here are dying for a big falcon to put our Voltes V in

Thanks boyet. Actually, anyone can do the models it just takes some patience. The most complex thing about it is the joints. I have received several inquiries if I am selling them as kits. That is why I am planning to build commercial models which I will design via computer so that i may introduce this hobby to others. All my previous models have been scratch built with no patterns. Just hope that there is a market for that. As for drawings, I consider myself just average. I have thought about that idea LurkerX! My Voltes stands at 16 inches and I often pictured it against the backdrop of Camp Big Falcon. But dont you think that it would be too big? Since I have no real diecast Voltes model of my own, I would need the sizes of each machine and their weights so that I can design the model around them. That would be a very nice project indeed !!!.... it just depends on the demand.

It doesn't need to be the entire Big falcon just a piece of it nice enough to display with the SOC particularly the launching dock and perhaps an additional chunk of the building. That can be arranged. I'll provide you with the specs. Then you do a proto type, post pics, set price then hopefully watch the orders pour in

Have the flu today so I decided to try and design the platforms for the Cardboard Big Falcon. As pictured below, I had to use 6 "ribs" to make it strong to be able to support the weight of the models. The floor also detaches for easier replacement. This plaform is for the larger machines (the crewzer platform is smaller). However, this plaform already used up 4 pieces of 8.5 x 11 cardboard. So it would already take 20 pieces for just the 5 detached platforms. I can only imagine how many it takes to build the whole model.
