I have finally started on my wings for my Shogun Warriors Raydeen. This is going to take a while because the fabrication process is all trial and error. If you notice, I had to remove the fists so that the wing will wrap around the robot properly. I am still up in the air about how I am going to attach the wing mechanism to the robot. I don't want to disfigure the toy in any way. I will continue to post updates of my progress. Thanks and enjoy these initial pics.
I have also linked this to my last project. The wing for my Getter-0ne 20inch Jumbo.

Here are pics of the frame tubing that I am using to fabricate the wing assembly. I am steadily working on this project. Will have more updates in a few hours.
Update #3
As you can see, I have almost finished this project. All I have to do is add some details to the chest, i.e. add some feather decals of some sort, and paint the wings. I was thinking about painting them red. Do any of you have any suggestions? I am also going to make a face peice to complete the Bird Mode look. Thanks for looking and have a great Jumbo day!!
Update# 4
Well, in only a matter of minutes I have fashioned a face plate for the bird mode. How does it look?
Update #5
Well,
I am almost done, I think I said that before. Here are the latest pics of this crazy idea of mine to turn the Shogun Warrior robot, Raydeen, into Brid Mode. I just finished applying the decals to the chest area. Just to add, I did those pinstripes on the chest free-hand. What do you all think? Hope you continue to tune in as I continue my progress.
Next update will contain pics of the completed wings on the side and I might add some landing gear. Who knows? Nevertheless, here are the pics of my current progress.
Update#6
I have added landing gear to this fine jumbo. All I have to do now is paint to plastic wings and clean him up. He has residual vinyl adhesive all over him. Thanks again for looking and have a great day!!!
Update #7
I have found some claws to put on the wings. I had to make some modifications, of course, but they should turn out nicely. By the way, the wings aren't painted yet. I want to finish mounting the claws first. Thanks for the comments everyone.
Update #8
Hello everyone,
As you can see, I have changed the color of the chest assembly for Raydeen. I have totally reconstructed it out of superior materials to give it more strength and durability. It is now made totally out of plastic and as you can see, screws were added to give it greater structural integrity. All I have to do now is paint the wings. Will keep you all posted.
Thanks!!
