I took art as a major in college but was never good at coming up with anything. But I was always good at copy and drawing things that I see. I can paint outside scenery and I've always love to draw them live nudes studio sessions. I have here three of my last drawings that I drew last year. I got the first picture from my Shin Getter Armaggedon DVD cover. Next is a drawing that I did first last year when I got a Great Mazinger small scale model kit. There were 4 kits to the set and I drew 3 of them. I haven't finish drawing Grendizer in that drawing and I didn't notice it when I first drew it, but it seems like Great Mazinger is trying to move away from Getter Dragon. The last drawing is the last drawing I drew ever. I think the date is on there. It's a picture of Neo Getter. I also got this drawing off of a Aoshima Neo Getter Model kit. The original picture from the box is really smal, around 2 inchesl, but my drawing is magnified by at least 5X. So enjoy, and if I see anything that catches my eyes and I get into the mood, I will draw another. That's what a copy artist does, try to draw what they see.

Hey, thay's really awesome work there, bro! I personally don't see anything wrong about "copy art". You do these because you feel inspired by the original work; and this is a very good way to develop your eye for detail, in addition to what you learned in art class. Many artists started out that way. It is a great learning exercise for the hands and the eyes, as well as the mind. And, it helps the artist develop a keen perception of things. In my childhood (mid-'70s), my first drawings were of Captain Marvel (Marvel Comics)... I drew him exactly as he appeared in the comics: muscles and all. It helped me develop my eye for detail. I later continued practicing by drawing the super-robot characters as I had seen them on tv; which is how I learned to draw the classic anime cell-shade style of the '70s and early '80s. These drawings you have here look really good. And I believe you can draw some amazing artwork! Thanks for sharing! zozo-Magengar

a lot of the old painting masters during the renaissance, learned how to paint by copying other paintings. Everyone begins with that... and then you come to learn to come to your own way of doing things once you do more.
Nice pieces dude.
