this was an assignment for uni i had to make a designer toy and i decided a skull with rather transformerish /starwars legs would be the way to go! this pic here was how the idea originated. this is some of the conceptual drawings and the robot below i drew in one boring class i had and just thought id chuck it on here to.

Welcome escort2............ Let me tell you , this is a great site with alot of friendly people, alot of them are artist like you. ( i can't draw worth a fak) But I like your style in drawing. There is always a drawing contest going on. You should look at the top of the forum that you posted for more info, if you have not already. Also just wanted to let you know ,the link you provided does not work . you have to be a member in order to check out your drawings.
Aloha, Eric

does it not work ill try fix that soon
the legs are card board all glued up. and the skull is card board with papermache and bog (panelbeaters use this on dents) and gap filler and some sort of clay stuff i found all mixed together.
took me ages to make the skull!

Pretty cool, but I think I like it better with the fingers instead of the mechanical legs!! There's something kinda sick about it the way the fingers protrude from the eye sockets (especially in the top section of the sketch).

i made fingers and it looked awsome but they were plaster and wieght was an issue when attached to the skull they started to fold the skull warping it.
so i tried paper mache but that sucks to work with so i made rather industrial robot legs.
each leg took like 20 hours.

Perhaps next time, if you're in the mood to make a skull version with the fingers, try using Magic Sculp for the fingers-- with coathanger wire as the fingers' "bones"...
You can make a display base from a piece of square plywood like a 2x6 in which to embed a coathanger wire for each finger. Drill tiny holes into the 2x6 where you'd position the fingers; embed the wire and glue it to the base.
Then start adding the Magic Sculp clay to the wire, and mold a finger, one wire at a time. The clay's slow curing process will allow you enough time to sculpt details into the finger. So, write down the time you finished sculpting the one finger--- this is how you keep track of the curing time for each finger. Then move on to the next finger in the same manner. When done, let the clay cure in the time the label indicates.
After the fingers are sculpted and cured hard, you can still etch them and add more detail to them. Then paint them whatever color you like best, such as a "pale flesh" tone color that will be in contrast to the skull, fingers and skull can be flourescent.
When fully cured, the fingers will be strong enough to support the weight of the skull.
When all is built, brush-paint the base with flat-black paint; hit the lights; turn on a blacklight; and trip out on the glow! ;D
( I'm visualizing this all in my head. I've never done it! ;D )

these cars had mustang engines and are high performance cars from the 70's australian fords are alot more performance derived then the american fords.
I got asked to draw my greatest journey and i decided that when i buy a xa ford falcon and put rockets on it and drive around space, then that will be my greatest journey!!!!
