I havn't posted any robot art in so long. I thought I would do more now that most of my portfolio is finished. oh heres my rough from ages ago. schematic (I always loved in the classics, how they had split schematic robots... I just had to do it!) I'm working on a third illustration for this robot. (coming soon I think) Finally was able to finish this (just got a new computer.. it was so easy to paint without chugging!!!)

hahaa thanks guys... yeah just been busy with updating more portfolio doing 3d stuff. A lot of the 3d stuff was taking time, learning and creating the art. I'm taking a break and doing more 2d stuff now until I get my new computer.
I just finished another piece today.

Kidchuckle... have you ever thought of designing yourself a Munny figure of your robot, like in This illustration you posted Here? This would look Badass as a Munny figure! Again, your artwork is fantastic; keep it up, Bro! zozo-Magengar

hahaha I always imagined this as a vinyl figure! But I might try to explore posters/tshirts possibly.

Don't forget to add vinyl Stickers to your list, as well. I think it would be a hit with fans of that robot; especially with the college students- havin stickers of that robot on their notebooks and bumpers would certainly distinguish proud fans from the rest of the crowd. zozo-Magengar hahaha I always imagined this as a vinyl figure! well bits and pieces... I wanted it to feel as classic as possible. It's actually all digital. I just used photoshop... the only thing that wasn't done in photoshop, was the scanned brown paper I used as backdrop medium to paint on in photoshop. this is how I built up the colour.

Wow, I like how you animated it as a .gif file to show the work-in-progress; I can see the maskings taking place on that robot! And, scanning the brown paper is a neat idea, as it adds a nice "watercolor" effect to the brown "sky". zozo-Magengar

thanks man... it's funny.. though.. way back when I was in school the teacher was always telling us to experiment with textures and different materials.. and I thought they were crazy.. and when I moved to computers I was like wow.. now I can make things extra smooth and crisp. But Now I'm finding I'm enjoying textures in my pieces.
I'll be posting more art work soon. Just stuck on a freelance gig. And then new computer. Hopefully next week.

Cool! Hey, Textures are Everywhere in leaps and bounds. You can even create your own textures using your camera, drawings, etc., and create all kinds of texture images. My favorite textures come from sequencial images of an object (sequencial bitmaps, jpegs, screencaptures, whatever in numbers) which I keep in a folder... Then, starting with "001filename.jpg", I apply the image to a 3D object and render it to avi... then the texture becomes animated. ;D Say, Congrats and Good Luck on your freelance gig! zozo-Magengar thanks man... it's funny.. though.. way back when I was in school the teacher was always telling us to experiment with textures and different materials.. and I thought they were crazy.. and when I moved to computers I was like wow.. now I can make things extra smooth and crisp. You seriously pay homage to the Mazinger Series with those designs.
