Hello folks!
Here's an excellent suggestion for the next Fun-Draw. It's from Neocaledonian, our Nov-Dec officiator!
Since it's that time of year when good friends are near, we have a Christmas (or Hannukah, or whatever Holiday you celebrate for this season ;D ) theme for the Fun-Draw so dear!

Here's the long and short of it:
1. Main topic of Dec Fun-Draw would be Christmas or New Year (though Chinese New Year could really be saved for February) Robot. This could be kept as the only general guideline to allow any entries ranging from just throwing a Santa hat on your favorite mecha to a holiday's redesign of established robots or a completely original holiday mecha. Keeping the subject fairly open to interpretation might encourage the maximum number of entries.
2. For narrowing the topic approach might be interesting too see different takes on the 3 Magi Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar (this thought was probably inspired by Evangelion) as giant mecha by balancing recognizability of fanart characters and aspects of the 3 Wise Men ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biblical_Magi ). It would also be ok to surprise the crowd by designing 3 original robots bearing gifts. Angels redesigns could also be used within this theme.
3. Taking on another symbol of X-mas, might be fun to redesign Santa's sled as a massive space vehicle capable of delivering a payload of presents to an entire planet. The ship could even be a triple changer gestalt: a team of robot reindeer could join to create a giant robot (Voltron-style)which could in turn to battle mode or cosmic present delivery ship/sled.
4. As usual pieces can be done digitally or rendered with pen, graphite pencil, colored pencils, markers, watercolors, etc. Colors and backgrounds are encouraged.
