Just kidding. Despite the ragged outer box that thing could easily fetch upwards of two thousand bucks on e-bay. It's a highly desirable piece. BTW Welcome to Robot-Japan JWM

Wow, if I knew this would be worth so much now, I would have brought a few more 25 years ago.
What's amazing is that everything works perfectly, from the missiles firing, fists firing, to the moving elevator platform. After 25 years, and everything works great. They don't make them like they use to.
JWM - You have an excellet website here for Japanese robot fans!!!

2000 in these conditions I think is too much. At least 1500 it would be a good right price

Don't sell it, man, unless you REALLY need the money. and make sure you get at LEAST $1500 for it, it looks great.
Keep it. Show it love. Someday, it'll be worth even more. Or, show it to your kids when they're 13+ yrs old. They might be into it. My dad showed me this cool board game (can't remember it's name right now, it's in storage) from the 1950's that he had when he was a kid in the late 80's, it was this melting monster game with all these little cool pieces and a big mountain that blew out some lava(?) liquid. it totally rocked, and we both began to get the collector bug (me, toys, robots, records; him- movies & records) and it was really special.
my buddy just gave his kid his Transformers Jetfire he had when he was a kid. the kid LOVED it, totally lost it, and plays with it every day. now, i'm not saying give your T-28 to an 8-year old (that's just silly) but older, more mature kids can totally deal and would love that bad boy. I know i loved mine in 1986!! Plus, it's a great feeling to educate/show the youth where all these crazy robots come from!!!!
I sold all my remaining toys & robots when i went to college. Now i'm spending tons of cash to get them back. I have only one toy from when i was a kid, and it sucks.
$2k might be good today, but memories last forever. at least when you can hold him in your old man hands!

This T-28 was a gift from my mom when I was about 8 or 9 years old. I am not looking to sell it at this point. I like your idea of passing this one to my kids (with instructions not to sell of course).

One question, What's the battery for? I have this same toy and I've never noticed a battery compartment. Or was it there to show scale?

Nice one, it's impossible to sell a thing like that when you appreciate it because even a truck full of bucks will not erease the feeling to get one when you love Godaikins.
