How much of the series is contained in volumes 1-5? I presume it's not the whole thing?
I've seen all of GGG fansubbed, but I wouldn't mind owning a complete series. I'm not about to get a set though if it's incomplete, especially considering A) it might not get finished and B) a complete edition would be due out after.

Too bad, it only contains ep 1 to 25. so maybe the other half might come out later. Maybe.. (& the free shipping thing is only applicable to North america but not the rest of the world )

Well, it only goes up to episode 25 out of the 49, they didn't even make it to the "Tokyo big battle" story arc(where Z Master fully appeared).
The sucky news is that they aren't releasing any more dubbed versions. According to Media Blasters, the DVD sales weren't that good and they decided to cut their losses and go for "subbed" release only. Too bad, the show's dubbing was pretty cool.

Gold Yup i tend to agree too, the dubbing was surprisingly well done. the v/a who did Guy's voice sounds uncannily like his japanese counterpart. Edit: The only thing i disliked abt the dubbing is the narrator's voice.. GAO GAI GURRRRRRR. oh gawd i dunno whether to lol, cry or cringe .

Hahaha, yeah, that bugged me too! Gaogaigurr.. ugh.. Hehehe, Guy's V/A is the same guy who did the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Leonardo. I was really surprised at how good he was with the yells. Gold

Something interesting happened today, I attended the Anime Festival Asia '08 here in S'pore. one of the main highlights of the show is the special appearance by legendary mecha designer Kunio Okawara. so i brought along my GGG dvd boxset & waited patiently for the autograph session to begin. all that waiting for a few hrs & when you finally get to meet the man & shake his hand. totally worth the wait. i'm so damn happy man! ;D The signed GGG dvd boxset Btw there was also a panel session cum Q & A with Okawara san & he was asked abt the similarity between the Yuusha series & Gravion Zwei, well what da ya know..he also did the mecha designs for that series as well. there was quite a few Brave related questions posed to him but sadly due to the "incompetence" by a female translator, much of it is lost in translation. The AFA'08 website on Kunio Okawara: www.afa08.com/kunio.htmA thread on the event on TFW2005 (lots of pixs): www.tfw2005.com/boards/toyark/196949-anime-festival-asia.htmlOn a sidenote i finally got the Sunrise Brave Series Toy Collection book, thanks to both Roanstalker (who provided with the infos) & arcticfeather (who provided the ISBN no) I managed to Locate the book from a local Japanese books store. well worth the buy, lots of eye candy inside

Congrats Rizuan! That autographed GGG DVD boxset is just awesome! ;D Hehe, it's too bad the translator was lousy, I really would've loved to know if they were still planning to do a GGG Final sequel (I'm still hoping that they're still making it, internet rumors be damned. ) Gold

Ok, so to recap... Are all 49 eps currently on the open market? Couldn't possibly care less about the Eng dub.
