I don't know about the overall red but I have to say for a scratch built toy, that's pretty impressive not to mention ambitious and you sir pulled it all together!

I agree, colors are tough to choose. I would go all black with silver streaks for contour and edges and white for the face, feet and hands. Blue, yellow and red is so 70s

Beautiful. I was thinking "Gun Kaiser" would be an appropriate name for it, since the humanoid frame evokes Gundam a little, and "Kaiser" is often used for Japanese robots with animal components. But maybe it's too generic a name for such an awesome and unique robot.

Agreed. While both patterns look sharp, I would definitely choose the first one if they were found side by side in the toy aisle. The black and red with orange highlights has simply a more dramatic presence. Great job!

I like the first one, orange definitely adds an animal like appeal along with the grey and white. This could be a future species from the Predicon family.

Wow now that's insanely cool!!! Love the concept of the whole thing. It'll be perfect if only the main body transformed into something else like most of the Brave designs. It's really surprising to see you here and know that you're into super robots! I'm a big fan of the War Within designs and even made 2 attempts to build Optimus Prime

that is one original looking mecha, SOC, no i take it back, perfect change quality!! love the black and orange color scheme. I would definitely throw down a few hundred for a fig like that! This guy has to be extremely talented to just come up with something this bad @$$! I think he may be pulling our legs....
Its one thing to creat a sculpture but a fully articulated monstrosity such as this with a transforming body!! just doenst seem that it could be created in 3 weeks in someones basement. F'n awesome though!

I like the first one... it has a nice bold and sharp contrast between its colors, so it will stand out really nice when displayed on a shelf among other figures. ...Man, that is AWESOME!!! zozo-mag

ah i dunno just messin with colors Oh yeah, this is a great work ! About colors, first you have to give a story to your mecha ( the good guy or bad, justice team, patrol guardian, antique mecha raising from the deep, etc...). It's a kind of three part combiner, so maybe you want each part having is own color id (Sentai movies). The body doesn't transform, but you can add a color scheme palying the rôle of a multi-parts combiner... Secondary, you have to decide what realism you want to put in you painting : • Toy rendering : with glossy plain colors, with few details line filling lines with a little bit of dark color ( same as the main color recovering the surface). • Cartoon style : only non glossy and mate paints with strong saturation. Adding mat varnish help to protect but you definitly have to keep later your mecha out of hands. • Realistic : adopted buy hobby fan and modeler, very gundamish style... lots of work and dead sundays to complete your model. BTW, it's a very huge piece you have done, bravo !
